 I trust men more than women anyday as a friend. Women are mean and users. I got one lady best friend the rest are men. I would rather hangout with guys then women at least they won't take your men. Well mine won't

Yes real friends do exist hard to find but worth their weight in gold...I find men can make better friends at times they are helpful straight caring and believe it or not a lot of men are really soft hearted....I have 2 close women friends lots of aquaintences and yes a few male friends who are just that friends only....I can pour it all out and trust them...However i find some women will use your weaknesses to their advantage..I have really been hurt by several women and im very slow to trust... Go with your gut...

Wow i cant believe so many responses  Well i think women are so evil they put alot of thought into revenge when men dont use thier minds as much  For a long time i kept no friends cause the one i had slept with my fiancee 2 months before the wedding so then a girl i knew at works fiancee got killed so i stepped in and opened my heart and helped her so much. I just wish i knew why she turned on me but in the long run it doesnt matter she did it and im done. Im no ones punching bag anymore!

I thought i had friends once and then in 92 i lost everything once you lose everything thats when you find out who your friends are ............i dont have any friends ......
if i do i dont know who other than family if you lose everything ........ your friends will go with it.....I dont recomend anyone go through what i went throuh but life is a jorney and looking back, a friend is just in your mind. if I dont mind it dont matter..

Aside from my friends that I grew up with that are still close friends, I lost quite a few friends once my husband and I divorced. They were the wives of HIS friends, and due to the situation being uncomfortable for them, almost all of them have dropped my friendship..Two couples have chosen to remain friends with me..

I've lost a few good friends when I decided to move to Florida, and establish my career. When, I thought that they would be supportive and help me make my decision, they turned on me and gave me the cold shoulder. That's O.K. because life goes on..... and, I've met quite a few "new" friends on D.H. - thank you, to all!

I love my friends dearly but I am the worst person on the planet at maintaining friendships, actually maintaining anything, (cars, houseplants, anything that can't verbally remind me to provide care) I have several long friendships that are 20+ years. How do I know a true friend. I can have no contact with a person for years at a time and we suddenly find each other again (one of us looks) and the friendship is still kicken. I guess lucky for me a true friendship maintains itself and seems to be timeless

Don't beat yourself up, because one girlfriend turned out to "do a number" on you.
Over 20 years ago, my bestfriend had an affair with my husband. I had been friends with her since the 5th grade. I was stunned, shocked and deeply hurt. I had loved her like a sister.
Fast forward 20 years or so. . . .I now have a wonderful cadre of terrific friends, who have been wonderful to me in so many ways. They have been with me through thick and thin. I would do anything within my power for them, and I know the feeling is mutual.
Don't let this one bad experience sour you to developing future relationships with other women. Women are obviously human, and you'll find some great ones, and some rotten apples. Keep the faith, and good luck to you!

Man or woman a friend is a friend, aquaintences are just that, my friends have been my heart for a long time now, I can depend on them as they do me. Most of my friends are women about 3-1, but none the less my men friends are here to stay. It takes a while before I trust anyone enough to be a friend. At biker shop a gal ask me how long have you and that guy been friends. I told her if it ever happened I'd let her know. I didn't happen, and it wont he is not deserving ot the title my friend.

yes they do.. from what i've experienced.. i love my best friend.. i graduted high school wid her and cant go a day wid out her.. we gonna get our own place 2gether.. i kno every1z told us its a bad idea..but me n her agree on soo much... we dont like the same guy... tottally diff taste in guys which is awesome...shes like my sis and she knows it.... she knows my needs n i kno hers.. alota ppl think we're lezbos 2gether..but we're just best friend.. so yea they do exist..
