has anyone ever had a best friend that just turned out to be a user and liar? Im going through that and i cant believe how nasty women can be.
*sigh* i just got off the phone with a friend (who i met on here) crying about my "best friend" of 10 years and just...how bad things are "again" with her. we had a falling out last year at this time, didn't talk until jan and already she is just, letting me down again.
if you're not her bf or family, you aren't top priority. that just, isn't how i roll
Oh hon. I am really sorry.
I can understand the "top priority" people "ridiculousness"..
*hugs!*

You know? I have heard that from a couple of females that I know... but you have to not judge all. I have experienced that with one whom I refer to as an "acquaintance" and a sister but I don't let that cloud my judgment of others or other potential friends. I wish you the best don't let it get you down.

Yeah I have, My best friend of 8 years stabbed me and nearly killed me over a girl. She had been dating him, and I was friend with both of them before and after they dated. I was in a coma for almost and year and nearly died thanks to the so called friend.
But you live and learn and I am a better man because of it.

I know I had posted a reply to this a little while back, but...I figured I could post another.
Back in Oct. 2005 or so, I met an ex best friend here on the internet (through a migraine headache forum); she lives in MA, and we became fast friends, being able to confide even our deepest darkest secrets to each other, venting about our headaches, life, MEN, etc. Even when, last summer, things got VERY bad for me (i.e. with my mom and so forth...), she BEGGED me to come to MA for as long as I needed, wether it have been for a couple weeks to even a year (she was DEAD serious! LOL--she told me that she had plenty of room at her apt., and that I could even live there as long as I needed to until I got settled--i.e. if I moved there).
Things took a "nose dive" in our relationship in that she did a Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde and started berrating me about being a "stalker" re: men, bashing me about my failed online dating attempts, just beinga REAL B*TCH! I wouldn't even know WHERE to start re: the shit she said to me..
She said those things around Valentines Day, and I decided RIGHT then and THERE to sever all ties with her...to end our almost 2.5 yr. friendship.
She REALLY hurt me..that was, like I said, in Feb., and in about April or so..she started emailing me out of the blue, basically PROFUSELY apologizing to me, saying how sorry she was for all the things she said, begging me for forgiveness, asking if we could "go back to the way things were", etc. She EVEN sent me about 3 friend requests to my "MESpace" (LOL), which..ALL I denied and flagged as spam (haha! Yeah, horrible/real mature/b*tchy of me..but...)..she has yet to contact me again via either email or trying via my page...
I REALLY believe that I will NEVER be able to be friends with her for as long as we live...I just can't. She hurt (and angered) me BEYOND belief!
So...
My "new" best friend, I met the same way/on the same site..which, my ex BFF isn't even on there..I bet she lurks though...
We've known each other about a year on there, but I NEVER knew I was her BFF (aside from her bf who she's been dating for very close to 2 yrs. now) until about 2-3 mos. ago. I was SHOCKED that I was, but one thing she told me was that she has had friends locally, even a BFF, but they have all drifted apart and/or done things to affect their friendships, so...

YES REAL FRIENDS ARE OUT THERE BUT THEY ARE HARD TO FIND. USUALLY BECAUSE THEY ARE TIRED OF BEING A FRIEND AND GETTING KICKED IN THE TEETH FOR IT.
GOOD FRIENDS ARE HARD TO FIND JUST LIKE GOOD PEOPLE ARE.
BUT THATS O.K. BECAUSE MOST PEOPLE AREN'T LOOKING FOR PEOPLE UNLESS THEY WANT SOMETHING-WHEN THEY FIND IT THEY USUALLY TAKE IT AND RUN.
IF SOCIETY WAS A GOOD FRIEND - GOOD PEOPLE WOULD BE EASIER TO FIND.
HONESTLY, I THINK WE ALL COULD TAKE A LITTLE CREDIT FOR WHERE WE ARE.
HAVE YOU EVER MADE A MISTAKE? EVER HAPPEN TO YOU HAPPENED TO ME!!!!!!!!!!
I HOPE THE GOOD PEOPLE KEEP BEING GOOD. THEY MAY FINISH last BUT AT LEAST THEY FINISH.

I think the key word here is best friend, or friend, while they may disappoint you - people are human, if it continues..............then look for other friends

Yes real friends exist, They are rare but there out there and when you find a real friend let them know it and never lose touch of that friend. A real friend will listen to you know matter what, They are there for u when u want to cry on the phone no matter what time of day it is they are with u though good and bad times.

Most of my friends are men. They don't change their minds about our friendship every other week, they don't whine and snivel when you cancel on them because of work, they don't call you up 10 times a week to tell you which woman at work did what. I know this is a generalization as I am a female myself but most women I have met end of being too emotionally needy for me to handle.
My guys friends will tell you like it is, tell you to suck it up if you are crying from stress, get pissed at you and get over it before the hour is up, bail your a$$ out of a predicament even if they have a family. Like I said this is a generalization and doesn't fit for everyone, however over the years for me personally I have found my friends to be better when they were men. Sadly, I also find this to be true about bosses, colleagues, customer service reps etc. I know there will be some fellow women out there that take offense to this however, I'm not asking you to agree just to recognize that this has been my experience.
