I know most people worry about losing weight, but I've been the same size since 6th grade, and honestly, I would just like to pick up a few pounds. Im tired of sizes 0-3, but I have high metabolism I just want a good and safe "gaining weight diet plan".

load up on carbs... pasta and bread make you gain like crazy and stay away from acidic fruits like pineapples and oranges they burn away the carbs you eat.

Time to go to school lol.
First determine what you want. Your at a weight where either road is a healthy option. So your two options are gain weight which will be mostly bodyfat. That will give you a bit of a fuller more voluptuous look. Or you can work out and build muscle and look more athletic like Jessica biel or a fitness model.... It's your preference. The cool thing about the human body is for the most part if you have enough time knowledge and diligence, you can control it to become whatever you want it to be.(exception: people with metabolic disorders, but those are rare)
So your what people call a hard gainer. I kind of fall into that category as well. I used to weigh 130 out of high school lol. So the common traits of hard gainers is they think they eat plenty and they think they have a fast metabolism. For the most part metabolism is determined by how much muscle you have.... More muscle higher metabolism. It takes alot of energy to maintain muscle so the fuel you eat gets used up in maintaining that muscle. Having more muscle also makes it easier to lose weight and stay leaner.
So your first task is to start eating three meals a day. Breakfast is PARAMOUNT. That's what kickstarts your body for a good day.
Task two is to start drinking water. Carry a water bottle with you wherever you go. It will make it convenient for you. Water helps metabolize fat, build muscle(muscle is made up of protein and water) and keeps your organs functioning at peak capacity. There's a reason they say water is the essence of life.
Task three is after you start eating three meals a day(which you will most likely start gaining a little weight) its time to up the portions. Since your used to eating so little or one big meal a day, it's going to feel like you may be stuffing yourself. That's completely normal for hard gainers.
This last part ties into the part above. Calories determine your size. Control your calories, and you control your size. Your going to want to familiarize yourself with the calories of things you eat and kind of keep a running tally in your head. It's tedious at first but it becomes second nature after a while. Your probably going to want to eat more calorie dense foods seeing as you don't have much of an appetite. Like choose a banana over an apple. A banana has about 200 calories while an apple has about 90.
At the weight your at I'd guess it takes about 1000-1200 to maintain your weight. So make 1500 calories your daily target if after two weeks you only gain about a lb bump up your calories to 1800. Once you get to the weight you want scale back to about 1500 to maintain desired weight. This also isn't factoring if you workout. If you workout you need a couple hundred more depending on how hard you workout.
Last thing to really see what's happening in your body as far as weight, weigh yourself in the morning after you wake up and use the bathroom.
If you weigh yourself in the morning then at night, your going to weigh more because of food and water in your system. In the morning is the most accurate way.... Good luck
Class dismissed lol

Grains, meats, and dairy. The most important part of weight gain is trying to get more calories than you burn. Drinking whole milk, eating meat like beef, consuming bread and noodles will carve a path to your goal. Good luck

OP ~~ I have been the same size since I was 12, too. Anyone with a high motabolism rate is going to find it very difficult to put on, and sustain, weight gain. Good luck trying. Don't founder!

Here's how you gain weight. First, you have to move to New Orleans. This city is famous for it's good food. I should know. I've lived here my whole life. And drink beer too. Plenty of it. After a few months of living and eating in New Orleans, you will be a jolly lore a** too.

2 protein bars/drinks (600 calories)
3 eggs, 3 cut up n fried potatoes (this I can't remember)
3 hamburgers and ah large fry from McDonalds (1250 calories)

Don't eat bacon, beef, and oatmeal.
I always get crazy slim on that unlikely mix.
