My name is Whitney and I'm a 25 year old divorced single mom. A little background info on me is that I DID graduate high school, I WAS married to my son's father for two and a half years, he and I have our minor issues but for the most part we get along, I've been divorced 4 years this July, and I went to "college".
I say "college" this way because it was more of a technical college, but I earned my Associate's degree and graduated second in my class. I'm not bragging, trust me, I'm just simply stating that I'm not a 'Teen Mom' reject with a baby daddy. I aspired to become a wife-I did-a mother-I did-and a Medical Assistant-I did.
It wasn't COMPLETELY my fault that my marriage didn't work. I'm sure I contributed to it's demise, but the main reasons aren't important. While I did graduate and become a MA, I didn't have the experience to back up the degree so I was unable to find work resulting in my recent hiring at a movie theater, but hey it's honest work and I've got some money coming in. I'm not going to complain too much.
And while I am female, I'm not the typical female. I hate shopping with a passion. Don't get me wrong, I will on occasion have a little spree but it might last 30 to 45 minutes before I'm done. I can't remember the last time I went to the mall and when I go to Wal-Mart I'm in and out in under an hour.
I do like to dress up and I take care of myself in that respect - personal hygiene and such. However, I prefer to wear jeans & a tee with sneakers. I love to laugh... its actually one of my attributes. I love to go out and have fun, be it bowling, shooting pool, walking the strip, or just driving around. But I also like curling up under a warm blanket and just spending the day watching movies. I LOVE to go fast whether I'm on a motorcycle or a four wheeler. Put the wind in my hair and I'm ready to go. I'm not really big on the outdoors but I can occasionally hang with the best of them. I like camping, mudding, and fishing BUT I won't be IN the water. It's an irrational fear of mine, sorry. Other irrational fears are bridges, spiders, and heights. Needless to say I WANT to travel but it looks like I'm stuck.
I'm a pretty honest and open person meaning I tend to tell people how it is which sometimes offends people. I usually don't think before I speak and sometimes it gets me into trouble. I'm fairly sarcastic but I can be a blonde sometimes. Which usually means my sarcastic comment comes ten minutes later when everyone has forgotten what was said.
I'm a laid back person, though I've been told I'm weird. I don't ALWAYS think before I speak and I say random things at random times or change the subject randomly. I listen to pretty much any kind of music aside from rap. If you're in the Tidewater area, then you'll know what I'm talking about when I say the preset stations on my car radio are Bob FM (93.7), The Wave (92.9), The Point (94.9), 106.1, 97.3, 101.3, 106.9, 105.3, and FM 99.
I've also been described as wild and/or crazy, but that's mainly because I'm HIGHLY spontaneous. Since I was married young I missed out on my "wild" days so when my divorced was finalized I did go a little wild. I hope I haven't bored you to death, but if I have I'm sure I should apologize. However, I don't really care if I did because you're the one in control of your computer and could have simply clicked the back button to stop reading.
