Welcome to my profile! Here is where you will find out more about me and what I am looking for, you hope, so here we go. I normally don’t put this in my profile for a number of reasons, but am going to this time to eliminate some questions. I am a Christian. Now I know some of you are saying “woop de doo, that and a buck will get you a coffee at Micky D’s”, but I am not going to stop with just that. I have been married and divorced twice and I believe that if I had listened to my parents and really searched for another Christian with the same beliefs as me when I was young, I probably would never have gotten divorced. It would also have helped if I had followed what I was taught a bit closer when I was young, but I do not regret my life or wish I could do it over. Life has been good overall and since I am not in a big hurry to get remarried, (been divorced for 5 yrs) I am going to take a little time and search. What exactly do I believe? Here are the basics. As a Christian, I believe that God sent his Son, Jesus Christ, to sacrifice his life then be raised from the dead so that our sins can be forgiven and we do not have to pay the price. I will not elaborate on that at the moment, but I am going to say a little how my beliefs affect a relationship. In my life, I believe God must come first and then the woman I love. So, that is what I am looking for, a woman who is willing to put God first and me next in their life. I watched my parents live it till my dad died 5 years ago. It works.
By now if you’re still reading, you are possibly thinking I am some kind of a prude or something and I could not possibly be any fun. Don’t believe it for a minute. I like to have a good time as much as the next person and certainly have been around enough to not be considered a prude. I just take responsibility for my shortcomings, turn them over to God, ask for forgiveness and try to do a better job of following his lead. I am not looking to convert anyone, but to find someone with similar beliefs.
Life is short, we need to make the most of each moment and I am trying to do that more and more.
I have a Son and a Daughter I am very proud of and they have given me 3 beautiful grand children which I enjoy spending time with, however I really would enjoy having someone to share daily life with. I have a real appreciation for the beauty in what happens every day in world around us and while I certainly have “down days”, my overall outlook is positive.
