I like to think outside the box, I like to think for myself. I like to be different. I go with the flow, but I flow my own way. I’m not one to follow trends, or sales/marketing “traditions” you won’t see me camp all night long to get the day after Thanksgiving deals. I’d rather sleep instead. If everyone is drinking Rock Star – I’m drinking water. Don’t get me wrong – I enjoy a leisurely lifestyle, I just don’t make my life revolve around it. I’m more on the practical side [most times]. I guess motherhood [single mom] does that to a person.. I’m more about personal comfort than image. I’d rather be comfortable in my flat shoes, than have calluses because I wore high heel shoes to match my outfit. But I do tend to dress up for certain occasions. Speaking of – you won’t see in big fancy formal dinners, unless it’s a really big event that it’s mandatory for me to attend. I’d rather hang out with a group of friends in the beach or go camping than have to pretend I’m a socialite.
I’m not here as a damsel in distress. I’m a damsel alright, but I can sure help myself in distressing events – and yes I have those moments. I’m not here to have my own Hollywood romance, I’m not here looking for my Disney prince charming, I’m not here looking to get bitten by a vampire. I’m not a Housewife from Dawson’s Creek in Tree Hill. I’ve had enough drama in my lifetime, this time around. I want to be real.
You like sports? I have no problem with that. Sure, I don’t know all the teams in their respective game, but come game day –I’ll be the one in the kitchen preparing the chips, salsa and drinks for the game night you hosted the last minute. I’ll even sit and watch a game or two….when it’s closer to the finals or something.
You like video games? We’ll get along just fine. Just do me a favor – let me win once in a while, ok?
You like to exercise? I need a walking/hiking partner. And no, I don’t mean walking in the mall the whole day. I’m talking about a walk in the park or trail.
