About Me

I am many things.

I am a drummer, loud and proud. Rhythm is the essence of life, how we move, how we think, how the world goes around.

I am a chemical engineer (3rd-Year student at OSU). I love chemistry, how things are created and how things work. It's hard as all hell, and at times I don't know why I chose what I chose. But I'm not giving up, because I know if I keep at it I will go somewhere in my life.

I am a golfer. Etiquette, sportsmanship, honesty, these are the rules and you never break them. My father taught me to be a gentlemen since day one. I just don't understand why other men aren't like that. It's only what's right, isn't it?

I haven't had anyone close for quite some time. That's because I am so many things, and being from a small town, there hasn't really been anyone that understands all aspects of me... heck even half of them.

I don't have a church. I just follow the values of the soul and the laws of science. Religion holds no sway over me, and I don't think it should come between people.

I can be a quiet man. A loud chatterbox. A stubborn bastard. An understanding ear.

Growing up I had an uncontrollable stuttering problem. In high school I joined the speech team to force myself to overcome it. The coach suggested to me that I speak in an accent. Not a specific accent, just whatever worked. It makes me think about what I am saying, allows me to talk how I "can" talk, now how I "should" talk. It changes daily, depending on how bad the stuttering gets. People say it's a blend of Irish, English, Aussie, and Scottish. I honestly have no idea what it is. After years of doing it, I don't even think about it. I just do it.

Growing up in a small town, there aren't many people here that really can cope with all my different aspects. Even in college (Oregon State), where cliques reign supreme, I haven't found one that fits. I'm a musician, a nerd, an idealist, and (somewhat) athletic. Hopefully I can find someone that appreciates all these different things. Consider me optimistic.
