Well, how to describe myself. Hmm. I'm a recent transplant to the DC area. Originally from NJ. I admit it, I miss the beach, but there's things to appreciate in my new home. I feel young for my age, and I love to go to concerts (of the Springsteen variety, most especially), and going to the beach and riding roller coasters. Oh, and cheering on the Yankees! Skiing is a long-time love of mine too. I can be a little shy, but I'm easy to get to know and feel comfortable around. I guess the best term for me is "down to earth." No airs, no pretensions. I'm me. I love to laugh and have fun and enjoy all that life's got to offer. I love the outdoors and I'm the type that when I go to Las Vegas I prefer to do things like the Grand Canyon or skydiving instead of gambling. More impressed with the natural beauty of the world than the man-made things, although the Hoover dam is pretty awesome. One of my favorite recent vacations was spent whitewater rafting, hiking and camping in the Grand Canyon. Proud to say I survived the 10-mile hike out of it in 118 degree-heat. Amazing what we can do if we set our minds and hearts to it. Next up -- Aruba, Italy and then the Salmon River in Idaho.
I love to read and go to movies and enjoying a night out at a great restaurant or comedy club. Oh, and did I mention traveling? I do mainly traveling lately for my job (one of my pics was taken on a day of work at the White House), but I love to travel and be the ultimate tourist.
I like to keep myself healthy and active with different fitness classes and workouts, and I've always been really careful about the foods I eat. I take pride in my appearance, but I'm not a diva.
And who would I like to meet? Someone who isn't afraid to show affection and knows how to treat a woman. I'd like to meet someone who's not afraid to cuddle. Someone who knows what romance is. I'm a liberal and proud of it, and I'm not interested in meeting a Republican, at least a tea party Republican. Sorry if that offends. Please, no conservatives. I don't smoke and don't want to meet someone who does.
I've got three kids -- one lives in Orlando, one is in college and one is back in New Jersey. They're all great, fantastic kids, and I'm so proud of them.
Don't want to get too negative here, but -- if you're married, gay or bi or transsexual or have ever cheated on your wife when you were married, don't write me. If you're a player who just wants one-night stands, don't write me. And if you're over 250 pounds, please don't say you're of an average build.
