Talking about me is always difficult. You'd think it wouldn't be so tough. After all, I've known myself for a while now. I survived cancer and obesity, so many people see me as a survivor, and inspiration. I just didn't care for the alternatives. At 56 I went back to school to follow my passion which is for helping animals. In December I passed the National boards and in January, the state exam, and am now a licensed veterinary technician, which equates to being a registered nurse in the human world. I am proud of this accomplishment. It was much more difficult to obtain than my original four year degree. I work six and seven days a week as I love what I do. This doesn't leave a whole lot of time for my human relationships. I recognize that. If you are looking for someone to cling at your side, I am not that person.
If, on the other hand, you are looking for a woman who is self-supporting, self-assured, and self-motivating, that might be me. I am funny. Life is way to short to spend it unhappy. I can find humor in almost any situation and spend a lot of time laughing at myself. I seem to do some pretty silly things.
I am well educated as well as street wise. I appreciate the value of a good friend. I am very grateful for the love of a wonderful family, for my health, for my intelligence, and for everything in my world.
I really don't know what I am looking for in a man. I believe he would have to have a sense of humor to be around me. He should be intelligent even if he is not well educated. He would need to have his own life and want someone to share the joys and sorrows of living with. Other than that I am clueless...help me out here.
I really hate to say anything negative in a profile, but I am going to request that if your sole purpose is to find someone to sleep with, please don't waste our time. I am looking for a whole relationship, not a sexual encounter.
A very smart woman once told me this line and I have never forgotten it. Live every day to the fullest....there are no do overs! By the way, that very smart woman is my Mom.....
