The first step in awakening one's conscious is showing them how much they don't know. We center our world around a small list of things we feel are important and fail to realize there are so many other things that affect us.
Becoming awake means to learn to actively listen out for the knowledge and information that will help to improve your life and others. Changing your perspective from a "can't do" to a "can do" attitude. Changing your mindstate from one that just accepts what it sees to one that can see behind the constructed images that are placed in front of us.
You have to train your ears how to detect falsehood and deception. You have to train your mind to read between the lines. Learn how to see the real picture beneath the facade that people project to you.
You must learn to deafen your ears to distractions and outside noise. Learn how to focus on the task at hand.
And you must have an agenda, a motivation, a purpose that helps paint your entire outlook on life. It should influence every action and decision you make.
Not a secular motivation like money or financial security. These are man made constructs. It has to be spiritual. Something that makes you happy to wake up and face another day.
This is when you realize what king Solomon was saying, that all is vanity. Not just the chemicals we put in our bodies, hair and skin. Guys pump chemicals in their bodies to create muscles. Women put chemicals in their lips and butts to make them bigger.
People do so many things to their bodies to hide who they really are but that's only the surface of our psychosis.
We only do these things because we are taught that these are the things we have to do to fit in and achieve our goals. Being truly awake is realizing that those are not your goals but the end results of a system of immoral values imprinted on your hearts and minds by an evil society.
