A bit about me:
I'm a bit of a geek (generally I'll go to ConVergence in July to meet up with my geeky friends). Average looks, voice, weight, height, health, etc. I'm basically a generic geeky Minnesotan female. But without the hangups about people with different ways of living, aesthetic, fashion sense, & culture and I lack the aura of entitlement that clings to a lot of people born and raised on the Mesabi Iron Range.
I like wandering places as I feel there's a sort of freedom in having nowhere specific to go and all the time in the world to get there. I'm definitely "it's the journey not the destination" sort of a person. One of my dreams is to take a chunk of time to myself, hop on a motorcycle, and just hit the road with my little tent and a puppy/dog with me for company. It's something I've never had the financial stability or resources to do (a.k.a. puppy, living situation that allows a puppy, motorcycle, gas money or free time. Plus I'm oddly afraid of the dark and wild animals for someone who really loves camping, campfires at night, nighttime, wandering around at night, and wild animals.)
I'm pursuing my third degree (my first a BA in French Studies & Art - which wasn't practical in 2007 when the economy took a plunge, my second in accounting). My current pursuit is my Medical Laboratory Technician Degree. Ultimately I want to make a serious contribution to other people and I believe helping to keep them healthy is the way to do it. (Accounting and retail is rather soulless.) I admittedly took too long to come to that conclusion. I'll graduate in 2015. As of right now I'm poor but employed.
I knit, sew, oil paint, draw, design, and do other things of a tactile nature as the mood hits (and the finances allow).
A bit about who I'd like to find:
I'd like to find someone who enjoys his career of choice, appreciates his co-workers, loves his family, and has hobbies, friends, goals and joys of his own (note the plural). Ultimately I want someone who would like to create a home and wants children to care about and love.
