| About Me |
I'm generally a pretty fun and outgoing person. I love making people laugh. I can sometimes come off as a bit reserved and soft-spoke when I'm first getting to know someone, but once you've spent some time around me you'll find I'm not really that way at all. I like going places, traveling, and trying new things. I've seen most of the country throughout the course of my life, but I haven't been outside of it yet. I'd like to, someday. I'm not overly outdoorsie, but that's mostly to do with the fact that I'm allergic to pollen, not because I don't like going outside.
I love music, and I really enjoy going to concerts. I've actually been in a couple of bands myself, and I play the keyboard/piano. I've taken a break from playing for the past year or so, but I've started up again recently. My musical interests are pretty diverse. My current obsessions are Mindless Self Indulgence, Marina and the Diamonds, and A Perfect Circle. The first band I ever really fell in love with was Evanescence. I like a lot of symphonic metal bands, like Nightwish, Epica, Delain, Kamelot, etc. The list goes on and on.
I also love all things dark, horror, and the macabre. I worked at a screampark last year and had the time of my life. In fact, I'll be going back again this year. I'm always down for a good horror movie. I love all types of movies, actually, as well as anime, and other (intelligent) forms of TV. I also like to read and write. As far as writing goes, I mostly do written roleplay, but I write various stories and poems from time to time, too. I also enjoy acting and theater, as well as costuming and cosplay. I'm also an artist. Finally, I love kids, and I like to think that I'm pretty good with them.
As far as relationships go, and what I'm looking for, let me first just say that I'm not in a hurry to jump into anything too serious. I would like to have a serious relationship, but I'd really like to take it slow. I haven't had a lot of serious relationships in the past - just one, really, which lasted about a year - so I guess you could say that I'm not super experienced in that regard. I'm not opposed to just making friends, either. I like meeting and talking to new people of all sorts.
I like learning about other people. I like open-minded people. I'd like to meet somebody intelligent and mature who has the same sort of interests as me, and who can introduce me to some of their own, as well. As far as what I don't do, just from past experience, I'm not really sure I'm capable of dealing with overly needy or clingy people. I'm human, and sometimes I need space. I really like knowing that people are attentive and aware of me, and of course I'll always try to be the same way in return.
