| About Me |
I would like to share a few things about me. I have a mixture of deferent types of books ranging from fantasy, how to books, and history. I mostly like to read fantasy because I am more interested in that type of world. I do like how too books because I can learn new things that I am more interested in learning compared to what I had to learn in High School. I also like history books because I like to learn a different place and time. I do enjoy playing board, computer, and card games very much. The board games that I like to play are: Chess, Sorry, and Monopoly. Some of my hobbies include: reading, fishing, medieval and renaissance reenactment, photography, sewing, and cooking. Reading is one of my hobbies because, as I said before, I can learn different things that I did not and would not be able to when I was in High School. The places where I go fishing are very peaceful and quite and that is why I enjoy going fishing. I do go fresh water and salt water fishing, and I also go crabbing. The type of things that I go for is: Salmon, Crab, Steelhead, and Trout. This year I have not gone fishing that much I just have not had that much time on my hands to do so. When it comes to medieval and renaissance reenactment, I am apart of the SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism). With this hobby there is so much involved with it that I enjoy to do and that I am learning with it. The first thing that I am learning with this group is how to make my own Armor and also becoming a blacksmith. The first project that I am going to be doing is make my own Chain Mail Armor which is interlocking rings of iron or some other type of metal that will protect the body from most types of small weapons. There are two parts to chain mail armor, the tunic which is the shirt and typically has a hood with it and then there is the chaise which is like pants with socks built in them. Making that armor will help me become more involved with the SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism).
Photography is one of a few hobbies that I have that I do enjoy very much and I do try to do my very hardest to make time for it. Also, when I show people some of the photographs that I have taken they are very surprised that I was the one that took the photographs. Most of the time people will know that I did take the photographs because they see that they where taken in my home other then that they would have never known it was me that took them. The reasoning why this is one of my hobbies is because is so that I can capture the emotions that are being displayed. I do like to sew many different things. I like to make my own clothing that is from the medieval and renaissance time period. Most of the items that I have sewn have been small bags that I have put to very good use. So far I have only made one thing from the medieval and renaissance time period. The reasoning why sewing is one of my hobbies because it is a good skill for me to have and also it will give me the opportunity to make my own cloths that I need for the reenactment society that I previously mentioned and for every day use. I do like to cook very much for a small group of people other wise I do not cook big luxury meals. The most common luxury meals that I have made for a small group of people have been: Lasagna, Spaghetti with Meat Balls, Crab with butter, Lobster with butter, Turkey with several side dishes, Roast with side dishes, and Stakes with a few side dishes. When I am cooking for a romantic meal I normal cook pasta’s unless I know what would be more meaningful for the other person. The reasoning why I like cooking is that it is also a good skill for me to have as a single person and it will help me with the reenactment society that I previously mentioned. My favorite hobby so far is reading and soon it will be reading and the reenactment society that I previously mentioned. The reasoning why they are my favorites is because I enjoy both of them just as equally as much.
