The Descendents - the movie by acutelady at 9/26/2015 8:42:26 AM Saw this wonderful movie, since I was born in Hawaii, I had to watch it. The scenery was so fantastic, I had to watch it several times. I recognized several places I had visited as a child. But what we don't see is the "real" Hawaii, behind the scenes, the poor in Hawaii, there are so many, living in sad conditions. My Hawaii is not the Hawaii I grew up in. Its now run like a third world country! The people, the island is so backward in so many things. So disturbing to me.
