stalker, obsessive or possessive?
by jjbriteyes at 7/31/2009 9:22:08 AM

Hello Ladies and Gents. Ok, I need some opinions and/or advice here.

Here goes. I met someone here on DH about two months ago. We have been talking everyday on the phone. We have made arrangements to meet, but everytime the day comes, it never happens. Always seems to have excuses(ok, maybe some have been valid).

Here's my problem. Like I said we talk everyday, and it's starting to bother me. He calls me constantly all day long. Sometimes I just cant run to the phone and chat, sometimes I DONT want to answer. He totally freaks if I dont answer every call. Sometime I just dont have anything else to say to him. I have told him numerous times that I will call him when I want to talk, that its getting nuts.

Now he is talking about moving in together, and what kind of place WE will have, and when we are together how he will treat me etc. WE HAVENT MET YET!!! He thinks we are girlfriend and boyfriend. He gets jeolous if Im talking to friends (yes male). He thinks I shouldnt be on here anymore because he doesnt come on here anymore or other chats. He says he has found his soulmate and has no more reason to look.

I have told him that we dont have relationship beyond talking, and that Im not going to stop talking to my friends male or female. They have been in my life WAY before he has. So, Is he a stalker, obsessive, or possessive? Maybe all of the above?

Sounds like some issues. Time to move on. Or tell him the next time he cancels on a meeting that's it.

sounds bad hun , real bad . please , be careful . sounds like the type to come meet you when you least expect it .... like in the middle of the night . im not really sure what you can do besides maybe block him and his number . maybe change yours . again , just be careful how you proceed . i dont want you to get hurt

It don't sound good at all hun. sounds to me that he's a very jealous possesive type. you should run the other direction while you still can.becareful,i wouldn't wanna see ya hurt. it's good your finding this out now instead of after you've done gave up everything for him.

Oh dear, he is definitly a person I would not care to have as a friend, or lover. His neediness is way to much for me to handle, as are his expectations of what constitutes a real life relationship versus an online relationship. I became involved with a man like this for a short time...he thought he was showing his love, when all he was doing was suffocating me. He is obsessive and possessive, with a good chance of turning stalkier, when you disconnect from him.
