Well I am treating myself, going to make a dinner for my 8 yr,old daughter and I , pork tenderloin, potatoes, and corn, jello cake, even though Im the only one going to eat it. Going to attempt to make chocolate covered grapes for myself, and chocolate covered chips, for my older daughter, that's on her own

Guys day out Oct 20 from 1 to 4 at church. All I have to do is bring some manly pop. Then at 5 there is a Rockin in our own backyard sock hop at church. Food pantry fundraiser on sweetest day. I'm going to bring a jar of peanut butter and I'll get in for free. Something to due... Who knows I might meet someone interesting.

Yes, it was hallmark that created sweetest day. For the longest time it was only celebrated in Ohio. (Hallmark headquarters is in Ohio) Though as of recently I have heard that this phenomenon is spreading. Michigan and Western Pennsylvania have started recognizing it as a holiday. My advice... SUCK IT UP AND BUY SOME F**KIN FLOWERS YOU CHEAP PRICK! 
Well for me Sweetest Day can be someone making me dinner, buying subway, or something reasonable, taking a walk with them, watching a movie. I am not all about how much did you spend on me. I care more about the thought that went into it. Wether it;s something you made, or bought.

Plans for the Hallmark holiday huh?
Let's see here...............get up and make coffee, clean the apartment, watch the Buckeyes game vs. Purdue, watch more college football, go to a friend's house to drink some beer and watcth the Monster Energy Cup (supercross racing).
Plans probably would be different if I had someone, oh wait they would be But since they're not I'll just go with the normal routine as simple and boring as it may be

I've always been sneaky on this Hallmark holiday when I've had a woman in my life, that took them by complete surprise.
2 years ago I went on a first date with a woman I met from another site ironically on sweetest day. Being the guy I am I bought a single yellow rose for her. When we met it took her by total surprise, she didn't realize what day it was.
The "one that got away" thus far in my life I really pulled a fast one on about 10 0r 11 years ago. She was a pharmacy tech at the Walmart here in town at that time, and she had to work that day. I had a spare set of keys to her car due to the fact she was really bad at locking her keys in the car. I used both of these things to my advantage. I went and bought a dozen roses, a couple of those huge balloons, and a big arse Sweetest Day teddy bear. I drove out to Walmart and put the balloons in the passenger seat and the teddy bear in the drivers seat, then went inside with the roses. I walked up to the counter with them hid below the counter out of sight. when she walked up I whipped out the roses and watched her eyes grow huge in surprise. Then later when she got off of work she got another surprise by what awaited her in the car. Needless to say it made her day and made my night later
These are probably the 2 times that sticks out in my mind the most, but every year I've had a woman in my life this time of year I've always tried to pull something off that made her day. I guess you could call me a hopeless romantic

The first Sweetest Day came out of one man's desire to do something "sweet" for Cleveland's orphans and unfortunate residents. With the help of movie stars, Theda Bara and Ann Pennington, Herbert Birch Kingston, delivered thousands of boxes of candy throughout the city. Begun in 1922, the holiday, observed on the third Saturday of each month, became popular during the bleak economic times of the Great Depression.
And there you have it, how Sweetest Day came about.

I can eat coconut cream (not often). But other than that, I do not like coconut. I've never tried rhubarb.
I like lemon meringue, chocolate, pecan and pumpkin pies.

I forgot about berries. I love raspberry, and blackberry cobblers, and apple, and peach and........
