I lost a daughter in 02, an unborn son in 03, and my wife in 04 on the 20th of this month, not much of a Thanksgiving guy now. She was seven years my junior, and had juvenile diabetes, as did the children. I`ve never witnessed another human go through so much pain for such a long time as her. She had a kidney transplant, lost the use of her legs, and went blind, the last five years of her life, I would carry her where she needed to go. Here`s to you Michelle, Seanna, and walter jr., my angels

OH MY!!!! I haven't cried in a couple months (trying not to) but this song truly BREAKS my heart... it was the song that Roy would always break down an cry when he heard it..(which brings back the pain of watching him crying) and I CAN not listen to that with out busting into tears, he loved that song an so do I. it only makes me miss him MORE  WHEN DOES THE PAIN STOP?????????

Yesterday I listen to Travis tritt "tell me I was Dreaming" and tears fell.
It was just how I was feeling, just wanting to awake from my nightmare.
So last night I dreamed he was with me, and I was saying am I dreaming and he said baby I am here, I am always here, and I cried because I had to wake up to only me in my bed. Somedays are as hard to get through as the first.
I listen to a lot of music, our songs, his favorites. Music makes me cry, but some makes me smile.

I've been widowed for 11 years and a friend in the music business, a lead singer no less, suggested that I try learning music. I thought it was the dumbest idea, because I was 'tone deaf' but I've since learned, it's 'tone uneducated.'
Learning to play the songs from your heart on your favorite instrument that you love hearing in a song, can help you to get rid of the pain.

Our wedding song by Etta James, " At Last." Any song that holds a memory..first movie, first dance, first kiss. The song we heard right after his terminal diagnosis last year, that made him cry...it now breaks me down each time i hear it. Last but not least, anything by Metallica. Not my favorite, but now...idk, they all belong to him, and i can only listen to them when I'm in a sound state of mind or I lose it.

Am new to posting here. My husband was killed in a stupid accident in Aug 2011. Just last month I heard a song about driving his truck - I had to leave the location that the song was playing. I do drive his truck but hadn't really thought about the reason. The song - connected me to the reason and triggered so many emotions that I thought I had under control. Mostly that I wasn't there when it happened, helplessness, anger and just being without my touchstone, my gentle bear of a man who was always kind and full of laughter. I don't really have a question for here . . . just so much of my soul died too. I didn't even know it 'til I heard that song.
That's very touching. I will keep a good thought for you.

Most of Conway twittys song use to kill me,but after almost 2 1/2 years the music is more comforting now than ever...I can close my eyes while the music is playing, and it feels so real...the memories and the Times we spent dancing in the basement (game room as he called it) to conway and many other oldies.it seems so real an relaxing to be able to feel as of he were holding me again, what I wouldn't give for that to be more than just a MEMORY...But I will happily take what I can get..
