I think its great if women want to fight let them. I'm not a fighter but I like watching the competition between fighters that's what I like about it. Some fights I've watched of men are good but I get disappointed with one hit knockouts or having judges declare a winner by points. Let them duke it out until one is down and can't fight any longer. Women are good fighters since we're strong willed in what we want.

The UFC should have a women's division and I'm glad they do. Strikeforce had women and so don't some lesser known promotions.

No....the division is low on talent its ridiculous.....but tits and a** sale so people will watch rhonda run over people for another couple years till someone gets good enough to best her....at least she fights regularly unlike Pettis, Velasquez, or Hendricks

I think they need to just mix it all up and have men and women fighting in the same league. Theres truly not much of a difference between men and women when it comes to fighting anyway, at least no physical handicaps on either sex that should prevent them from fighting together: it's more about skill and technique than anything. Plus, Is it just me or is it so much more entertaining to see a guy beat the crap out of a girl or the girl beat the crap out of a guy vs same sex fights?

With all the domestic abuse stuff this will never happen....men fighting women is not fair...men or physically stronger and more explosive.....rhonda is the best women's fighter....at 125 she might get a few sub wins against low lvl dudes but anyone in the top ten would literally kill her....

I just can't agree with this comment, bc in my experience it's not hard for women to build muscle and get that strength that men have, you just have to lift and eat protein and it happens regardless of gender. at least it does for me, and I'm a girl. plus, i've fought guys that are a whole head taller than me and have at least 50 lbs on me and I still don't feel like I'm at a disadvantage. I've even taken down quite a few guys who weighed more and had reach on me. I'm 5'2" and weigh in at 110lbs and I've never had any issues with fighting men or experienced any disadvantages before. I think that whole notion is just bullshit planted into our heads by media and common culture. Mind over matter.
Women already have a division in the UFC so that point is moot.
As for women fighting men in the UFC, unless it is a regulated exhibition bout I don't foresee a future of this becoming a norm.
As for women, regardless of height, weight, physical size being equalized to the male standard -- this is NOT a correct assertion.
A female's physiology is nothing akin to a male's and can NEVER be developed to the same degree to which a male may attain.
Women do not have to be at a disadvantage to men in the arena of 'fighting standards' because, while men have more muscle strength -- women have more gray matter. Scientific fact -- and that matter can result in men being 'inferior' to women in some cases.
In summary: one's mindset portends the outcome.

I'm the OP. There are some very great wemen fighters in the division. Much respect to them, but Rousey dominates the woman's devision at 135lbs!
There's not even an oponite that is close to being in her same devision! She was bred to fight at the highest level! Read her Bio!!!
Okay, I wish they could make the Rousey vs Cyborg fight too, but cyborg fights at 145 in the least. That's her ultimate weight cut. She walks around at 175.
Why should Rousey gain 10lbs to fight someone who stands at 175. Rousey has nothing to prove, and Cyborg can not cut weight to 135! What is Cyborg suppose to do? Cut off an arm or one of her legs? She can not meet 135. This fight will prob never happen!!!

If Rousey wants to be the best she's gotta fight the best. If gaining an extra 10lbs to fight Cyborg doesn't throw off her game, then she should do it. Other than that, she does dominate the sport and they need to get over to Japan and Asia to find some fighters that'll least give her trouble.
Me personally I think they should've been added a women's division and flyweight division. Women have a different market and they aren't covered in boxing as much. You rarely hear about female boxers unless you follow them exclusively. It is another way for the UFC to make more profit. And fast personal fights. Female fights just have a different flow than guys; its more personal and they go hard at it.

Women fighters do not "go at it" or engage in "cat fights" their sport is as important to them as the male fighters who "get it on".

After seeing Rousey basically making Cat look like an absolute amateur in embarrassing fashion, I say that women are more than capable of putting a great fight in the UFC. But the fight that I want to see the most is Cyborg and Rousey. Tate has had way too many chances at Rousey and falls short and the other fighters aren't within Rousey's league at this point. Technicality and strategy vs pure power. Would be a hell of a match....gamer
