I'm trying to learn what kind of animation programs are out there...I want to make my own animations. Does anyone know any good ones they'd like to mention? I'm thinking more along the lines of cartoons.
Is this the right forum?

Comedy central has some good hits for cartoons. South park, drawn together, ugly americans. Mostly very raunchy.

Adobe has different programs that I have used to do short animation. Flash, Premier, Illustrator. Lightwave has 3d animation program. I have played with that a little.
