Casino's didn't do what the politicians and the Indians said they would do. Save the school system, yea thats right gamble for the kids. Even after money from casino's for school, the teachers union still want more money and as always claim its not enough.
I think if someone has the extra money to loose, its not a problem but I know marriages that have been broken up because one of them was addicted to gambling.

For the tulsa metro area and north, all the gambling/lotto money was going 45 minutes north to kansas anyway, the rest of the gamblers headed for Miss.,Nev.and Mo. for those that could afford to go.It was actually a smart move for Okla. to get in on it and keep the money here so the politians could have more money to waste and for their raises.
Is it good?..not for the gamblers that lose their underwear, rent and food money, but the tribes and government are thankful to them LOL.

It depends on what kind of Casino it is. Like tribal casinos...my opinion on that is that all tribal casinos should cut a check for each of that type of tribal member who Carries a CDIB (certificate degree of Indian blood) for that tribe. Now as for individual owned casinos....I think that it should be ran as a regular business and be an at will employer meaning they can fire you for any reason. I also think that individually owned casinos be state ran therefore some of the money going into the machines that people of all over and of all races should've going to fix the Roads and public places like parks n lakes....fix up Oklahoma to bring in more that will come back over and over again.....fix up the schools especially...after all....the kids are our future

There IS no such thing as a good casino, so the question answers itself. The institution of any abhorrent activity is bad for everything and everybody except for those profiting from the misery of others. Like the misguided celebration of homosexuality as a normal behavior, all one has to do is to see the temporal look on the faces of those being fleeced by their own misconceptions to know that it's true.
