Hi Ity. Yep, the pollution in China is pretty bad. No, I'm not too worried about it. I am not thrilled about it, of course, but the Chinese people seem to be thriving.  Plus I'm only going to be there for two years.

FTR...One of my nieces has MS, and I have never heard her complain, never...It has affected her legs so that she has a wheelchair, and she uses a scooter at work...She is a respitory therapist and works full time at our local hospital...She still uses a cane to walk to and from her vehicle and house...If it wasn't for pure willpower and stubbornness, she wouldn't be walking at all...

Curly, that is awesome that she is able to deal with things with preservation.
I am going through a really bad bought of idgaf attitude right now with my son. Caregiving is taking its toll on me after the hundredth bite marks and long lasting bruise from the bite. I am not a happy camper.
We all, everyone of us, goes through trials one way or other. No way is better than the other.

I am so sorry you are struggling. Caregiving is very difficult and takes its toll. Do you have a place where you live that offers respite for caregivers? Here we have a place called Jill's House where parents can take their special needs kids sometimes. You need to take care of you. Otherwise you won't be your best self for your son. Good luck.

@ anywhere, you could look into homecare agencies or even put a posting up at the local college for nursing students who could come in and give you a few hours to get away. Caregiver burnout is very high! You need some time away to get your sanity back! Muffins right...if you don't take care of yourself, you won't be able to take care of anyone else! Best of luck anywhere ... I know how hard it is!
