You don't need a gym to work out. Do these 3 things and it'll get you ripped faster than anything else you can do, and keep you that way.

1) 8 sets of 20 Burpees - push-up variety - 30sec-3 min rest between sets (more rest time may be required as you progress through your sets) This might seem easy, but its not. This routine is one the most challenging workouts that I do. Its a total body workout, improves functional strength and endurance, hits your core, works legs and upper body equally well, and improves lean muscle mass throughout the entire body. It also greatly improves cardiovascular health and anaerobic capacity. Do this enough, you'll have good, healthy looking vascularity in areas you never thought possible: the shoulders, the obliques, the pectorals, etc...

2) 8 sets of 20sec sprint intervals @ 95%-100% exertion - 20sec - 2 min walking recovery between intervals. This is a total body workout that burns fat, raises metabolism, improves cardiovascular health, drastically increases anaerobic capacity, optimizes hormone profile, increases overall strength and maintains lean muscle mass. You'd be foolish not to be doing this anyway on your off days from lifting at the gym.

3) Walk at least 5 miles at a brisk pace. This catches up with you if you do it every day; wait two weeks and see how slim your mid-section gets. You should be doing this regardless of anything else you do. Human beings are designed to benefit from walking long distances. One benefit is having a body and vibrant outer appearance that reflects how healthy you truly are on the inside.
