I have to say i am happy that my mom is the sweetest women in the world and would never attack anyone especially not my significant other. (unlike a few mother inlaws )
that being said- i can see a situation where some crabby old mom is being a b*tch, but if she is just visiting let her spew her BS. shes old, dads dead and has nothing else in her life. why destroy her if you only see her once every 6 months?

old people are like kids.. they just say whats on their mind and they don't give a shit what people think and a lot of times they speak the truth...they are able to say things that you would never be able to say in front of other people

ive met a lot of rudely blunt and "honest" people who were dead wrong about much of what they said.

Peta people are nuts.
Ive seen a lot of profiles from women on here saying how they "tell it like it is" and can't be held responsible if their words hurt people- its just the "truth".
Of course these little gems have benefited from others people kind and tactful to them their whole lives.
How many times did a teacher want to call their classwork shit or their moms want to say they sound like idiots but didnt because of tact and civility?

I am fortunate to have a kind sweet loving mother who never has a bad thing to say about anyone. She even called for my ex-fiancee her daughter and welcomed her into our family when we got engaged.
My ex-future-mother-in-law on the other hand was a total passive aggressive b*tch. She'd smile to my face but the second i left she'd complain about everything i did. Not once did her daughter stick up for me, it annoyed me, but so what? in my mind, once we were married and moved the hell away from the crazy old biddy the better.
It amazes me how woman can find ANY thing as a flaw in a man-
defends his mom? he has no balls
argues with his mom? he is disrespectful to women
he texts too often? he is clingy
doesn't text enough? he must be cheating
