I would date a single Dad/Father raising his own children I give props to men, who do because it is NOT an easy job! I'm a single mom and as long as he understands that children come 1st in a relationship. An isn't just looking for another mother to take care of them. It would work out!  I dated a guy once that tried discipling his children but he wouldn't stick to his own rules with his children! So he was a laughing stock to them and they kept being defiant... They just wouldn't listen to him, to save there souls and there was NO POINT in me stepping in even though they did like me and I them. Because I wasn't there mother and had my own children to raise. I didn't need mine too pick up on there bad behavior. So I ended that relationship! If you don't have control over your children don't expect someone else too! I'm just saying! But we single Moms are out here willing to date a single Dad/Father who's actually doing/raising his child/children Rite! That's just the way the ball bounces sometimes! You LIVE an LEARN!!!

most women I date don't believe I'm a 24/ 7 dad. they actually think I'll ditch my daughter if things get good. .... which makes me curious, who the hell would date someone who ditched their kids? if they can just let their children go that are his flesh and blood, what chance do you have of keeping him? but human nature is human nature.

I give you a high five for that one.
Now let's add a bit more insult to the injury. Like being even older with SOLE custody of younger twins. Even at the same time helping out elders and full of family. Around my age have an empty nest. Sure they would enjoy play, but not really into raising kids again. Next! Younger seem to think that I'm just being a dirty ol' man. When if fact I look at those with children around my children's age.
Oh I could go on and on, but why. Maybe some day, but I'm not going to hold my breath on it.
I hear lots say "Oh sure I would" but locally in reality. Just doesn't happen. May sound harsh to the gals, but there comes a time that the tables are turned. As to the point of being tired of investing time into someone. Just to wind up being nothing. That one turns into a show me kind of person for a change.

a full time dad as in has custody and raising his kids is very appealing.. shows that he wanted his kids, family, and enjoys family life... me being the kid's mom, maybe depending on circumstances.... blended families can work, but takes lots of interaction and focus on both families..

Dude, don't stress about it. If you're a good dad anyways.
Just hang out where moms hang out (parks, McDonald's play land, kids extra curricular activities, etc) and be social.
Don't give the "desperate to find someone" vibe. Just sat hi and be friendly.
Women will pick up on it.
In this f**ked up world we live in, it's getting harder and harder to find good guys that'll step up and do the right thing instead of what's easiest or best for themselves.
So even if you only meet women that are taken, they'll be happy to set you up with a single friend.

It is not easy to be a single dad but i would not give it up for nothing or any one i like my daughter so much that is my world but yes it is hard trying to fi d some o e not only for me but to be around my daughter as well i know there are ladys out there for me but just hope they can find me so i can have some one to be happy with and that loves kids ut just want to have some one to talk to for now and just be able to talk to some one sweet and kind hope your out there

As long as he's a good father and treats me and his kids very well (and he's nice to my boy) I would be happy to date a single father.
I don't like men who neglect their kids or me (lol).

As a single dad whom spent twenty four months fishing his kids out of state custody. Because thier mother is a party princes who consumes more dope, than the national gross of most third world countries.
I have to say I am rather appauld at the negitve responses and the attitude that pervades society. When it comes to single dads and the double standard that is applied.
As for the ladies that had positive responces good for you. After all kids are what life is about.

At first thought my heart is 100% on board. I love kids. I love being a mom. I would really enjoy helping to raise more children. However, from meeting some single fathers, I've discovered there can be some issues involved. Blending a family is hard work. There has to be a commitment by all involved. When a woman marries a man that has been single for several years he has learned some unusual habits to adapt to life alone. Women and children tend to do the same. This really makes it harder to blend families.
Family life involves eating meals together whenever possible. You may not be doing that now. You may look forward to that in the future. When the kids try eating as a family a few times, they may want to go back to eating snacks in front of the T.V. While that is okay, I'm not cool with spending my day off cooking so we can spend time together as a family and then everyone decide they would rather watch TV and snack all afternoon.
How are these children doing in school? Bedtimes, TV times and a balanced schedule with consistent rules mean children do better in school. Sometimes single parents don't have as many resources available to help with schoolwork and plan and carryout healthy schedules. Also with one or two kids you may just let things slide a bit because they are pretty good kids anyway. However, once we mix my children with your children, good kids with different expectations can turn a house into chaos pretty quick if both parents aren't committed to working out a healthy lifestyle that works for everyone involved and will encourage study, play and chores without too much entertainment.
It is always possible with lots of communication and planning ahead, but I wouldn't recommend that anyone with children get married without first discussing all the issues thoroughly.
