Hoping to find a small group (4to6 people) who's interested in backpacking 60 days across Western Europe. The idea was to start in Ireland and maybe wrapping things up in Germany. Ireland, UK, France, Denmark, Switzerland, Italy and Germany are countries I planned on traveling and maybe spending 5 to 7 days each. I'm also hoping to make this trip happen on set budget (1500 to 2500 excl. airfare) which is about a $50 a day spending limit. I planned on a nights of the week renting hostels, a few nights in tents and maybe traveling longer commutes at night which would leave a night or 2 sleeping on the train. As far as meals most hostels can with a free breakfast which saves money, chipping in as a group for picnics would take care of lunch and most hostels have kitchenettes so chipping in at a local market and cooking in-house would be smart. Activities would consists of museums and art galleries but utilizing the free days (many actually have a 2 to 3hr free entry daily). Picnics, touring, hiking, sightseeing and days at the beach are all free
activities we could enjoy as well. Again all of this is just a rough draft of what the trip could offer although the research is fairly accurate (stationed in Germany for 18months). Any tips, tricks or ideas are greatly appreciated.
