This question has two parts, the first part is for you to pick your favorite fighter..That part is required for the next part. I will take the first five people, anyone who doesn't answer the first part is not considered for the second half of my question.

Either one Dragon your choice, since no one seems to be interesed in this topic, I will just let you know the seconf half of the question. If you had to fight this favorite give an assessment on their strength and weaknesses & what strategy would you choose to train against them?

interesting... of all time i would choose bruce... i would choose a strategy of closing in and smothering him... always thought his stance was susseptable to a heel pick... keep him close and neutralize his speed... make him carry me as to get him tired... implement 2 inch elbow strikes and actually no strikes over 2 inch's... he'd be to bloody fast... annoy the hell out of him with palm strikes to his ears, and at the same time i would be trash talkin him... get inside his head if possible... his pride could lead him into a mistake... most likely chance to finish him would have been an arm triangle...
hehehaha... just a day dream cause i imagine i would be missing teeth before i knew it... hehe...

for someone current would be GSP... i wasn't a fan to begin with but he sure has won me over...
i probably would use a stand up strategy... boxing mostly, and i mean pure boxing(no power punches... he seemed to have problems with the jab... a good stiff jab can bust a guys face up in hurry if you can implement it with consistancy and fluidity... i would keep throwing them as a distraction with bad intensions... he has soft tissue around his eyes and has shown a tendancy to have cuts that bleed in... if i am so lucky as to impede his vision... i would step up the output of jabs thrown and every so often, slip in a heavy cross follow... of course the trick to all of this would be to out jab him(he is a very good boxer) and stay on my feet... he has a great take down attack...
if it goes to the ground.. hang on for dear life and look for an arm triangle... not to finish him but to tire him out(not likely, he has great cardio)...
not sure if i ever seen anybody try dirty box him... that might be worth a shot too...
but he is the champ for great reasn and the likely hood of being victorious would be slim... best i would hope for is to let him know that he was in fight...

Thankyou for answering the question completely Dragonstar, what I like about you is you are honest & adamant to answer questions fully and share in a wealth of your knowledge. I am on my way to school & work today but for the favor in turn I will answer my own topic with at least two fighters and my assessment of them, including how I would train.

Uriah Faber, Strengths-Has excellent lateral forward and back movement. dominates the center of the cage by cutting off his opponents movement. Excellent at trading off in the pocket and a good ground and pound game with a dominant rear naked choke and guillotine. I would take a page out of Renea Barao's & Jose Aldo's book.. I would train to use a barrage of kicks to set up combinations especially as an obstruction against take down defenses. I would want to practice Kimura's as a sound guillotine defense. Practice dirty boxing being crowded from the fence with pumelling reversals. Jose Aldos strength assessment, Superior timing keen sense of distancing, Most effective head movement with accurate stick and move tactics. Strategy I would want to work on obstructive kicks especially obliques in conjunction with in and out movements and timing.. I would practice stance switching with leg kicks set at the supporting leg timed after he threw a kick. This would require superior lateral movement with angular pattern ing. After kicking the supporting leg that is when guy would want to use reaps & throws from system such as judo or Cung Le's Shui Chiao. Last gaining side control and using curcifixes and ground pound would be the key to taking out Jose Aldos.
