I am sure many of you are familiar if you have ever spent more than a few minutes searching atheist videos on youtube, but in case some of you are missing out, I wanted to expose you to one of the greatest atheism broadcasts we currently have: The Atheist Experience.

It's an Austin, TX (ironically enough) -based public access show that has been running for a few years where atheists from multiple fields act as panelists who screen live viewer calls of both secular and religious sources to answer questions regarding atheism, theism, and reason.

It is definitely a MUST WATCH for any atheist who is interested in learning more about both Christianity and how to argue against it or just to listen to fundamentalists call in and have their arguments demolished by logic.

The true star (in my opinion) of the show is Matt Dillahunty, a former fundamentalist Christian who converted to atheism after realizing his beliefs were no longer justified with any factual evidence while studying intensely to become a minister. He is truly one of my heroes and I believe him to be among the smartest minds on the planet.

This thread will now serve as a place for anyone to discuss the show and post links to videos of their favorite clips. I'll start with my favorite. Enjoy!

I've seen a few episodes of this before and love it. It can be a bit dry at times, but overall it's really great and I highly recommend it as well.

Never heard of that one, kinda curious to check that out. The show that I truly enjoy from time to time is Alex Jones's infowars.com. You guys gotta check that out if you never heard of him, he doesn't sugar coat anything about what's going on in the world and this country.

The experience is a great broadcast, may I also recommend Christopher Hitchens lectures, another brilliant mind.

I particularly enjoy his rants on Theresa of Calcutta...She was such fraud.

Hitchens is indeed a great voice to be heard. While I don't fully agree with his politics, Penn Gillette is also a devout Atheist who has a lot of good points on the matter from the perspective of someone who isn't technically a scientist.

I use to watch that show all the time on YouTube some years back when I was an agnostic leaning Christian in the process of becoming an agnostic leaning atheist. I've been a Gnostic Atheist for 4 years now partially due to watching the show. I haven't watched the show in a long time, but I should check it out again sometime. I admire what the hosts of the show do to help educate believers-(& others) on atheism or humanistic issues related to it. I'm even more happy that I am friends with most of the hosts from the show on Facebook.

Why do I have to argue with people about their beliefs vs mine? Just live your life, enjoy different kinds people and stop stressing over who believes in what religion.

Whoever said YOU have to argue?

But it is a big deal because religions skew peoples' view on how things really work. I have never met a deeply religious person who had literally any idea on how physics, chemistry or biology worked. I also noticed that such ignorance will often lead to anger. "Why is the world like this?" If they didn't think the world was magic and they knew how things really worked, they would likely not be so angry since they would know already.

This is of course a VERY broad example, but there are narrow forms if you'd like to know more.
