I have 8 cats and 6 of them have the runs. I don't detect any parasites 'i.e. white worms' however very loose stools to the point they are dripping all over. Can anyone recommend a anti-biotic or alternative in diet(aside of normal hard cat food) perhaps that could fix this problem? Thanks ladies!

Cats have plenty of water and are not showing signs of dehydraton. They are fully energetic and are not suffering from any times of decreased energy. Does anyone else have feed back on how to rectify this outside of taking them to a vet? I do not have 600 dollars lying around to take them all. I am contemplating giving them ground beef and rice at this point in hopes it may solidify there stool. Also going to get some amoxicilin from a vet store on the west coast in a attempt to eradicate the potential pathogen involved.

Yea what are you feeding them just saw a report about pet foods but didn`t have time to see what they said. My Maine Coon won`t use the box so it is on a diet. Less food less mess. Works good for it since it is a long hair.

I have the same problem as the op has. Only i have 4 instead of six. Three of them are brother/sister from the same litter. I have given them medicine from the vet and still have the same problem.

My cats doesn't like Special Kitty. Although they eat dry food. I buy them Meow Mix, Friskies or Kit N Kaboodle. They seem to be doing better.

Special kitty is lacking in some nutrients.Be it that they just arn't there or simply not well assimalted by the body,I don't know, but if feeding special kitty to an opossum results in a naked opossum...something is wrong.
