one week to go... what are your thoughts...
i am goin with George... mostly cause Johnny gassed out towards the end of the Condit fight... the way i saw that fight goin if it was a 5 rounder... Condit...
Gotta admit though that Hendricks power is kinda freaky... one clean shot could do it... but i think George is way too experienced to be caught by that...
my money is on Goerge...

Gonna be a boring a** gsp win. His fights suck.
This boring view you see is a specially tuned mix of various techniques that are effectively countering the offensive of the opponent. If you look at Diaz'(my favorite), Josh K', J Shields'-- <(to name a few) > Their faces after a short time of trying to get at GSP..... The expression they all share, says it all.

interesting turn of events... i thought split decision but for hendricks... i am for GSP but i gotta be honest... George needed a knock out in 5th to win legitimately... i think he suffered a concussion in the 1st round when he tried to take johny down but couldn't(elbows to the side of the head)... he just didn't seem right after that... i thought for sure he would have used his jab like he did against koshteck... when he did, he had johny off balance... that he wasn't circle'n and had really no head movement... hendricks shoulda got the win there for sure....
i have no doubt that George is not proud of the win either...

Without any doubt whatsoever Hendricks won that fight. Hendricks was unmarked while GSP's face looked like he had stuck it in a meat grinder. GSP's corner felt he lost the fight. GSP was beaten so severely he was rushed to the hospital immediately due to his injuries while Hendricks attended the post fight conference looking as if he had merely did a little friendly sparring. I think its a travesty that GSP was awarded victory in an obvious loss.
I predict GSP will relinquish the belt and retire "undefeated (of sorts) and Hendricks as #1 contender will fight possibly Conditt for the vacated title.
I also doubt very seriously that Dana White will ever promote another fight in Neveda, with just cause. He was both visually and verbally applaud and disgusted at the decision of the judges.

A friend of mine noted that in Nevada you have to finish the champ to be the champ.
He believes a split decision usually goes to the champ...
I am wondering if Hendricks is really that good? Or did GSP have a bad night?

i am picturing that George will fight one more... but with Hendricks... pride maybe what does him in or makes his legend bigger... there is no way i see him retiring under a cloud of doubt...

it is worth noting that with every title defense George has been increasingly the worse for wear... scar tissue, etc.... bear in mind that he has been fighting the very best in the world in his weight class for a very long time... it does take a toll... when George started that fight, the first take down was vintage... the second attempt was where he took those heavy, heavy elbows... after that he just seemed to be off balance... i think he got hurt by those elbows way worse than most would suspect... my guess is a concussion... his post fight inter view belied the fact that he couldn't remember parts of the fight(the entire third round?)... i think this is what scared him and why he is considering retirement more than ever... but still... one more with Hendricks to shut the critics up and satisfy his own curiousity...

It doesn't appear as if gsp is hanging em up.
Something fishy is going on..
