It's become apparent to me (and many others) that our government NO longer wants people to be independent-- and self sufficient-- they want us totally dependent on them-- but when that happens-- when government provides everything-- access to food, medicine, healthcare etc... People become complacent and dependent-- and forget that what has been given can easily be taken away-- and when that happens-- government has TOTAL control of you...
In times past being an American was all about being independent-- being self sufficient-- having freedom of choice-- "Pulling yourself up by your bootstraps" Having a "Nanny state" running everything and taking away our freedom of choice-- turning us into complacent little "Sheeple" I'm sorry-- this is NOT who we are Michigan-- this is NOT who we are America!!!
In the not too distant past-- government actively encouraged ALL households to not only grow their own food (remember "victory gardens?") but to raise poultry and other animals as well-- check this poster from back then...
My boyfriend and I plan on moving up to Grand Rapids in about 9-12 months-- we both dream of buying a house with some acreage and getting into Aquaponics-- raising crops-- Tilapia and perhaps freshwater lobsters-- raising chickens and mini dairy goats...
Repealing this "Right to Farm" act is just pure BS-- a sneaky attempt by big corporate farms to F@#%K with the little guys-- the organic growers-- the hobby farmers and even those that just want to have a garden and maybe a few chickens...
Anybody else out there in Michigan upset about this

I guess you're NOT aware that they use drones now... I know guy was arrested by video evidence collected via a drone-- for growing pot on his property. NO search warrant used-- which I think actually violates a person's rights.
In some parts of the country-- (Oregon is one place) it is ILLEGAL to simply collect rainwater on your property. A man in OR was arrested and sent to JAIL for 90 days for this!

I'm aware of that.People have the right to vote
who we elect into government,if they chose not to
use this right,than I blame these people.I can't
do it all myself,BUT I will grow raise what I want
