South Carolina does the opposite of popular opinion. I know that for a fact, because I owned stores in Myrtle bch and the laws concerning pipe/bongs, weapons, piercing, reptiles &"artificial drugs" changed constantly and most of the time the cops took me to jail, AFTER!!! they confiscated my merchandise. The laws here are a f**king joke. In horry county, if u pay your bail, on anything short of murder. They keep that as a fine and u walk. No probation, no community service, no trial, no nothing. Pay your bail and all is forgotten! Its all about the Almighty dollar in this state

If he didn't pay rent u had every right to throw his shit out and change the locks. Watch them judge shows a bit, but remember laws are different from state to state. What u would really be looking for in the shows is your best offense & defense in your case. The judge shows are almost always about roommates or lending friends money. So, u pretty much have a 50/50 shot at learning about former roommate procedure.
