Is the law fair about possessions when it comes to a roommate moving out and if the roomate has been gone for thirty days or more shouldn't they have to notify you before entering the home for any reason what do y'all think?

It used to take 3months to evict somebody.
Then it was cut down to 30 days.
Now, if u don't pay your rent u get the boot in 72hours.
South Carolina does the opposite of popular opinion.
I know that for a fact, because I owned stores in Myrtle bch and the laws concerning pipe/bongs, weapons, piercing, reptiles &"artificial drugs" changed constantly and most of the time the cops took me to jail, AFTER!!! they confiscated my merchandise.
The laws here are a f**king joke. In horry county, if u pay your bail, on anything short of murder.
They keep that as a fine and u walk.
No probation, no community service, no trial, no nothing.
Pay your bail and all is forgotten!
Its all about the Almighty dollar in this state

Right I own my house had a friend as a room mate he recently moved but had been gone for two months then came and got his stuff let his gf in my house to move his stuff without me being home and now he is refusing to pay for damages his dogs did to my floors but my big question is that is he allowed to let people in the house that I don't know when I'm gone. I know he's allowed to enter and remove his things regardless of if I'm here or not but is he allowed by law to bring people in to do it without notifying me

I'm pretty sure that's gonna be a case by case situation.
Was he technically even your roommate anymore?
That's the big question.
If he didn't pay rent u had every right to throw his shit out and change the locks.
Watch them judge shows a bit, but remember laws are different from state to state.
What u would really be looking for in the shows is your best offense & defense in your case.
The judge shows are almost always about roommates or lending friends money. So, u pretty much have a 50/50 shot at learning about former roommate procedure.
