I think most of us have made a mistake or two and have a "psycho test" we use on potential mates. I try really hard to make the same mistakes only once, Lord knows there are plenty of them to make as it is.
And if there is Love at first Sight, is that pure physical attraction? Or are we to believe we see that so-called inner beauty and get lost in their eyes?
Physical attraction is crucial at first but it's hardly the key to meshing minds, IMHO.

I personally, believe in it, but not as most people think of it. I think there is a special bond and connection between two people that's so intimate, it clicks immediately. Soul-mates. There's an unexplained intensity with those relationships and you become empathetic to each other's feelings without ever saying a word. The emotions are stronger, the physical intimacy is greater, and even when you're not together, you still feel that closeness. You're drawn to your significant other in ways you've never experienced before. You appreciate and embrace all of their flaws. I don't think there's a certain amount of time I will wait to share my feelings with him, but I will know in my heart when it's the right time. Who can honestly say they've had an experience with a soul-mate?

Depends really on the situation. The only time I had love at first sight is when my baby girl was born. When it comes to women I believe it more of an attraction first. Love is very strong and can also be very devastating.

It is absolutely possible to meet someone and have an instant endorphin rush. It's natural to want to be around someone that makes you feel good and that you can make feel good.
The world would be an awesome place if "I Love You" did not have to mean "I want to marry you and tie you down"... You don't have a problem telling your dog or your grandmother you love them... and I don't know about you but I'm not interested in marrying my dog and never had a desire to tie my grandmother down even though she was hot lol.
I love you can just mean - you know what I really enjoy being around you and I am glad you have been part of my life in any capacity.
I have no problem telling my friends, dates, co-workers, family, etc that I love them... no strings attached And I really mean it with all my heart every time I say it. I'm also totally cool if they don't say it back - because love is not supposed to be a hostage negotiation lol

No I do not.Before the sixtys sex revolution a guy and gal were friends first.Over time the guy would get up enough nerve to ask his friend if she would marry him.She would say yes,no or I need time to think about it.After they were married assuming she said yes and after the infatuation was over then the work statred to grow real love.Love is something that happends between a man and a woman who share the struggles of life,good and bad.Love is something that happends when they work together to make a life for each other.Love is something that happends after years of seeing that person everyday and still saying good morning and a kiss goodnight or a kiss when leaving for work and a kiss and hug when they come home.Love isn't something that just happends,it takes work and understanding.
Lust isn't love and isn't even a good substitute.Lust is no excuse for a lousy relationship.

Awwww! I'm so sorry to hear that!!  I've experienced it once in my life and I guess sometimes regardless of the connection, people listen to what others think of their relationship rather than what their hearts feel! I would love to find that again, but it's so rare! I'm just loving life with my boys now and when the right one comes along, it will be amazing.

Awwww! I'm so sorry to hear that!! I've experienced it once in my life and I guess sometimes regardless of the connection, people listen to what others think of their relationship rather than what their hearts feel! I would love to find that again, but it's so rare! I'm just loving life with my boys now and when the right one comes along, it will be amazing.

I only say this because it's a situation that occurs when all else fails I mean life will literally be that bad or this will be so off key and you meet this girl who just appears magically, and she's the most understand woman ever. I don't know that magic is absolutely true, I feel it's gods way of sending us our angels.

I seen it happen a few months ago with a friend of mine. He met someone from another site and they just simply fell for each toher as soon as they met. They went as far as spending the night together on the first meet and they are now married and very happy. So yes love at first sight does happen

Absolutely I knew the minute I saw my husband .We were together29 years . Married 25 of those 29 years. He unfortunately passed away just over4 years ago . Seeing him suffer with cancer was pure HEARTBREAK .Can love at first site happen twice in a lifetime ?? Stay tuned ????

I'm sure it could happen. It just hasn't happened to me. I usually grow into loving someone and that may take awhile. I once talked to someone for nearly three years before I realized I actually did kind of like them more than just my being a friend. Tragic, how we sometimes don't notice things that are right in front of our noses.

I guess its more lust, then love! but have you ever met someone & u liked them so much that u spent all day & night together!! and then the next day u cant wait to see them again! well I have! and it did last awhile. so yes!!! but i also believe that u can be in love more then 1 time in your life... many things can happen over the years & everyone getting older & wanting different things is the main reason people don't last.
