WHEW-- HUGE sigh of relief today! A couple months ago I had a free mammogram at one of those mobile units. One of the views showed something questionable and I had to schedule a followup diagnostic mammogram at the hospital.
I have been absolutely stressed to hell over this-- I lost BOTH my parents only 18 months apart-- BOTH to cancer-- dad had lymphoma-- mom lost her 3rd battle with breast cancer. So this has been a VERY heavy load on my shoulders.
I had my diagnostic mammogram today-- the technician did the same view twice-- she had me wait in the room while she showed it to the Radiologist. She came back and told me they didn't see anything this time-- that the previous spot was likely a shadow and there appears to be NOTHING suspicious looking at all.
When I came out and told my by boyfriend the GOOD NEWS-- I practically burst out in tears-- I was SO relieved!
