I haven't trained in several years and when I did we didn't have any females there for training. My question is, how can a man really spar with a female and give them quality challenges to better them as a striker and feel like he isn't beating up a girl? I only ask because I know how heated some of our sparring sessions got especially when you are preparing for competition or someone caught you slipping you wanted to pay them back and take back that respect.

That's the funny thing about sparring. The opponents always need to test each others abilities even if they do not match as opponents. They still want to know.
I use to spar with my brother when training together. We never had those testing each other issues. Yet, when either one of us were to match up to someone else, we rooted for each other as if it were live comp.
I wouldn't spar a girl unless she was MY student. In which case, things are different, and allowable.
