There is not a right or wrong answer to this question. Many married couples stay together in unhealthy relationships and there are married couples who stay in love with one another. I feel its about finding that person that makes you feel above everyone else.

I googled "marriage brain," and the first thing that came up was an article from livescience entitled : "Marry or Move in Together: Brain Knows the Difference." Here is the first paragraph: "Marriage is linked with numerous health benefits that simply cohabitating doesn't seem to provide. Now, research suggests the reason why--the brain links "just" living together with a lack of commitment and can't relax." Interesting...

I think it's irrelevant whether you're married or not. I know plenty of people who are married and their spouse stresses the living hell out of them. I look back on an ex of my own that I lived with before I moved out to UT, and I don't think that marriage would have stabilized a damn thing. In fact, I think that if we were stupid enough to have married, it would have ended in divorce anyways and then going through all of that would have been even more stressful and expensive. I don't think the key is whether or not you marry. I think it all just sits with the two individuals who are paired together.

Well put "Forthehorde" I've been divorced for 12yrs. It was the healthiest thing for my brain. Its not worth staying in a in unhealthy relationship because we are afraid to be alone or any other reason.plus it keep us from finding true happiness

As long as I'm with the man I love I don't care. If someday we marry it will be nice but I'll love him ether way!

I suppose it depends on who you're married to.

Investigation discovery is saying life expectancy goes down between married people. Do think it because they stop going to a gym and eat less healthy or due to domestic violence? or do you think that its a bogus statistic.
