So let's hear them. What courses or special schools did you attend while enlisted?
As for me, I've completed Airborne School, RASP, Sniper School, Air Assault, and Pathfinders thus far. Waiting for my docket for SFAS to come through. I've also attended several basic combat life saving courses.
So let's hear it, brag a bit.

Brag was just a word of choice. The topic is intended to let people list their accomplishments with the military.
Did you complete any specialty schools?

Altitude Chamber to experience rapid aircraft de-compresion the chamber was at Wright Patterson AFB,OH. So's I could be on flying status. Which was cool as a B-52 Crew Chief I got Combat Pay + Flight Pay + Proficiency Pay + tax exemption for the months when I flew over Nam at 30K feet. Then back to U-Tapao Thailand after a 3 hour B-52 bombing mission and soon was back in my bungalow for Then flying as a RC-135 Crew Chief stopping in Bodo Norway on standby alert( Norwegian Girls + = )The game was that when we landed the "Tail number" was changed and RC plane took off so the Russians only saw the same tail number when we were intercepted over the north pole flying to Alaska.
Survival School, Mc Dill AFB Fla.rown Proofing which is when you fall in the water = Don't panic, get into the Turtle Position, wait till you float to the surface, raise head inhale, back to the turtle position, blow bubbles when you need , raise your head and inhale. You can do this for a super long time if you relax. TEACH your kids !!
Aircraft Systems Training for mechanics : SR-71, U-2, KC-135, B-52, F-4, F-111, T-38 and F-111's.
The best class was at RAF Mildenhall UK, the base commander decided all NCO's had to be drug awareness certified. So if we happened to smell Pot/Hash we'd be able to identify it. We made the most of sampling the burning chunk's of Hash that we passed around. The instructor was cool as we'd be exempt from drug testing for 30 days we made the most of it and got high all day long.

Lol! That's awesome. I've been thinking recently of trying to change my MOS to become a CWO, especially with operations winding down in Afghanistan. I'd want to go SOAR. I've worked with those guys a good bit. Fearless bastards they are.

my point was that military schools are geared to the lowest common denominator and getting through them successfully takes an iq somewhere above moron. case in point; we had what was called a 'program text' for learning the various systems in helicopters. a page would show a rotor on a huey with the statement, 'the uh1h has a two blade rotor system.' you'd turn the page and see the question, 'how many blades does the uh1h rotor system have?' the entire text was maybe twenty some pages long each page consisting of a simple drawing and one or two sentences. i really didn't understand aerodynamics until i began flying as a civilian and even there i had to do quite a bit of self study to really become the expert that i think all pilots should be on the subject. i attended the vietnam helicopter pilot association convention a few years back and was surprised to find that i was one of few who made flying a career. still we all got into drinking and talking flying and telling lies and i was shocked to see a discussion on why airplanes tend to stall at lower speeds and helicopters stall at high speed. not one of those hangar flying combatants could come up with the right answer and i'm talking about guys with several tours in the nam.

I know most schools don't require a good deal of thinking. Especially in recent years. I still look at it as an accomplishment, though, because it shows drive. I've ran into my fair share of check collectors in the Army. Or the ones who use the uniform as a p*ssy getter.

At Ft. Knox I excelled at spit shining boots and police call. I can spot a cigarette butt in the grass from 10 meters away!
