they kill posting videos, something that is fun & people enjoy & when you contact customer support about it all you get is a bullshit auto reply
but
they are more than happy to do nothing about the fakes and cons that steal peoples money. because even if it's fakes and thieves its still more profiles so they can tell advertisers "hey look at all the people we have". they could care less about that.
i can just see it in the board room,,,,
1st guy, "hey, the people seem to like posting music videos and sharing them with each other"
2nd guy, "no we cant have that, thats too much fun for them"
1st guy, "well then we will kill that",,"on a side note, what should we do about the fakes and spammers"?
2nd guy, "f**k it, look at the advertising money rolling in"
1st guy, "yea f**k the people who come here for fun, lets f**k with them real good and put porno ad's right in the middle of their profiles so all the dudes look like creepo's and the women look like sluts"
2nd guy, "i like it"

I kind of agree with the original poster. This site doesn't seem to be making moves that please its members.
There has been a reduction in the number of fakes messaging me. That's good.
Removing the ability to post videos does seem to have been a bad move. Not sure why they did that.
Several advertisements are provocative, and have caused problems in the past. Driving away several good members. It does make wonder what will be next. Bouncing ball ads? Great !!!

Members don't pay the bills, advertisers and sponsors pay the bills. The only way anything will change is if they see a noticable drop in the number of members. Less members = less advertising $$$

DH has to abide by internet law as much (if not more) than we members.
Sure -- advertising pays the bills...that's a no-brainer.
Say a member doesn't like being bothered by ads? Download the free AdBlockPlus.
Suppose a member doesn't want to be bothered by spammers? Don't communicate with them. In email report feature for spammer is available.
OR a member could join a pay site and get their spammers that way.
There are spammers all over the internet. It is up to the internet user to Beware of these scammers.
In all the time I have been here (visible/invisible) I have NEVER been bothered by a scammer.
If "you" are being bothered by scammers you could just be a scammer magnet. What are "you" doing wrong which is causing the scammers to harass"you"? FIX YOURSELF--- and the scammers will fade away.

having members post all of those videos that have to be kept in archives with all of the threads/posts that people make was probably taking up too much room on their servers,so by not allowing members to post videos anymore,they freed up a lot more room on their servers,and probably cut their operating costs.

When I'd view a video, when the DH code would still show them on my device, it'd just redirect to YouTube, or whatever the host site was. The host site was the one with the video on file.
