Is it ok to put an old hard drive in another computer when you're sure that's not why your computer died.

There CAN be concerns. Some computers are set up such that the hard drives are interchangeable, and some are not, these days.
Are both computers currently running on the same operating system? If so, then chances are, if the connectors used match, then there's no problem swapping the drives.
If one computer is running Windows 7 and the other is running Windows 8, you may find that the drive will not boot up and start when it's in the other machine.
What are the details of the situation?

Another factor is what are you trying to do with it?
Add a second drive or swap.
If swapping another thing to keep in mind along woth os version is drivers for the machine.

Depends on the actual drive. If it is a drive that has some corrupted files on it and you have known to have problems with, it is probably not a good idea to use it on any computer. If it is a new drive, then it maybe that t he new drive is somehow defective or what not. But looking at the problem entirely, it may be because either the operating system is malfunctioning or the motherboard isn't as functional as it used to be. I would take it to a copmuter repair center to have a more thorough diagnostic.....gamer

My audio card died. Is it easy to replace? I have a 2007 Dell computer running on XP, does it depend on what audio card I get?

they all replace in similar easy ways, it's rare for them to die without cause though, double check in system hardware manager for red !'s or muted items in volume controls and sound device selections. it's more common for a driver to get replaced with something incompatible from audio video software installs
if there's a restore point prior to the sound failure try that first if you haven't already
