Last week was the 6 year anniversary of my cousin being killed in an accident involving alcohol. She was the sweetest, most generous and kind hearted person anyone could know. She would go out of her way to show how big her heart was, never expecting anything in return. To celebrate her memory we challenged everyone in our social network to do an act of kindness for Cassy.
This got me thinking about how few n far between people like her are, but they are out there. Please share your stories of kindness. Ones you witnessed, ones someone did for you and/or ones you paid forward.

Last week I bought a VET pan-handler breakfast. He was at one of the exits near the Layton Walmart. The closest place serving breakfast was Burgar King. I delivered a full hot meal, with coffee and a few cookies for later, out the drivers side window.
Today - I got a call from a stranger who had rescued my old dog from the pouring rain. She had spooked from the thunder storm and gotten out of the yard. She kept my wet dog at her house, with her own dogs, until I was able to pick her up. (I guess the doggy door will need to remained locked during the day moving forward.) I am so glad she is safe and didnt cost me a ticket for being loose.
There is still good in this cruel world.

At home depot today my work crew helped an older couple load their truck with all the patio bricks, sand and mulch they had purchased. The gentleman tried to pay us for helping but we turned him down and told him thank you for allowing us to help him.

I have one of those Mother Nature Jeeps. She gets it dirty, she cleans it when it rains. So it has been a few weeks since it rained and my windows were getting dusty. I was having a really bad day at work last week. As I left work I noticed someone had written something in the dust of the back window. I was thinking 'great, someone is now telling me to wash the jeep'. I jump in the drivers seat and start her up and look in the rearview mirror. The message had been written backwards, so it was showing in the mirror clear as day... "Have an awesome day!"
I asked co-workers the next day, trying to figure out who was so clever to get a message of encouragement to show up like that in the rearview. No one took credit. I am now thinking it must have been one of the teenagers that had been there doing yard work that day. The day I needed kindness the most, it found its way to me in an interesting way.
