My old aussie dog is getting senile in her old age. I have had her since she was 8 weeks old and she is now 13 years old. Every year she seems to become more and more frightened of fireworks and thunder.
I was in a hurry this morning and didnt think about locking the doggy door pending a thunder storm. Less then an hour after I left the house, I got a call from a complete stranger saying that they had seen my old lady narrowly escape being hit by a car. They had stopped and picked her up, dripping wet and took her home. Allowing her inside with their own little dogs, while waiting for me to come retreive her.

This act of kindness saved me a ticket from animal control, as well as likely my old ladie's life.

THANK YOU kind stranger!

(I dropped a gift card and flowers off at their door step on my way home from work to let them know how much I appreciated them.)

Fostering is so rewarding, not only for us, but like you stated, our four legged babies as well. What an awesome way to socialize both fosters and our own at the same time. I fostered for the longest time and my own dogs are better for it. We had numberous puppies as well as countless kittens. My dogs hadnt had a chance to know kittens before, so was just additional socialization and learning experience for them.

Keep up the great work! I miss fostering now that I am in a rental and cant have more then my own.
