On laptop ~~

When I post on DH the date stamp applies correctly.

I refresh and the date and time stamp DO NOT advance.

I can refresh several times and the date and time stamp DO NOT advance until 2-5 minutes have elapsed.

Then....I noticed that when I refreshed the date and time would read as (say) 5 minutes and when I refreashed again (the same thread) the date and time stamp were recorded as an earlier (or later time) ---- almost like my single post was being reflected on two (2) separate DH homepages.

Could someone explain this, please?

if I'm following what you're saying, the last post timestamp on the main forum thread view, when there's been a recent post, 5 minutes or so, doesn't actively update. it just gives you a rough estimation of the last recent post until the threads been inactive for a few minutes and then it'll put, for instance, 2:45pm.

the forum is coded simply to give a rough time estimation in minutes until a certain amount of time has passed with no new posts. without reclicking the forum the stamps won't update. it's not designed to update at the client in realtime

since dh is associated with match.com they very well may have a mirror that is not quite in sync, regardless, it sounds like you've taken most of the necessary steps to rule out your laptop having anything to do with it. it could be related to how a browser caches the site but I've seen it do what you're describing so the chances are it's not a local issue

It is my understanding that each post, message, and like, etc. is reviewed by the COO who is currently serving a lengthy sentence at one of the US's fine penetentiaries. Since computer use is not permitted, all of the messages are transcribed on little messages that are rolled up, kiestered between 3 to 5 gateways & db servers one famous guy is known for his shank goes by SQL and he is the one who makes contact with the COO dropping a load of new material into the toilet and picking up reviewed material from him. SQL picks it up, kiesters, caches and sends it to a distribution network of other prison inmates, corrupts guards and switches based on what is instructed on the routing signatures.

As the distribution is passed down, redundancy is required because these people have to make it to the outside and may not pull it off. That is why the timing maybe funny.
