Just had a lady ask if I was teaching my kids the value of a Dollar...And I jokingly said I'm not sure I've taught them much about life, just been busy raising them, keeping them safe and happy..

So... what is your opinion of important life lessons that our kids and the next generation should be told...

This could be fun as well as educational ...

I think all children need to volunteer their time with a charity. Maybe serving at a soup kitchen or my charity, which is to get homeless kids off the streets. Another charity of mine is the children's home(orphanage). They need all kinds of clothes and hygiene products. It teaches them to have compassion for those less fortunate. It teaches them to be humble and be thankful for what they have. It teaches them to help other people, it also leaves them with a good feeling within themselves.

I agree, It teaches them to think of others, not just their selves.

I think and say often....The ole proverb that the apple does not fall far from the tree does not apply to you.....You have far more choices than me, it will only be fear that keeps you from letting loose in a wind storm ..... you can truly make yourself happy doing anything, but always keep in mind that the potential salary is well worth the consideration...

Everyone ages and a beautiful exterior can only hide a rotten core or a severely bad heart for so long...then what will you rely on?

I have told them that not all your money should be held in a bank account....a safe deposit box is a must with hidden cash and important papers and savings bonds... and some held by a reliable family member for quick access....

I feel we are highly susceptible to a cyber attack type war and the banks will all be frozen...and cash will be king....

1. Grow up and stop being a generation of pansy a** little f**kers that get butt hurt if someone has a different belief than you.

2. Welfare/food stamps is not meant to be a career choice.

3. You want something? Quit trying to get it handed to you. Hustle your a** off till you get it. Contrary to popular belief, you have not worked enough yrs to deserve the luxuries that you parents and/or grandparents are enjoying.

The worth of your labor, and charity are important. Along with
Marksmanship. Hunting skills... the list is long, responsibility for ones actions all thing's ihave tried to impart to my kids. I've been more concerned with thier ability to thrive and survive than if they were happy.
