Ok so i just started to work out and i wanted to know do you eat before you workout to loose weight or after?

you eat ... every 3-4 hours to maintain a blood sugar and metabolism effect ... and you workout anywhere in the day you want to.
as long as you are eating whole grains, lean proteins, and fruits and vegetables you will be fine ... eat as close to the source as possible. avoid canned or frozen as much as possible. buy your foods from the outside perimeter of the grocery store - the veggie section, the fruit section, the butcher section.
there are a few exceptions from this, but a good portion of your cart should be perimeter foods
it depends on the type of workout you do, and your body itself, i don't usually eat before, because it makes me feel sick, but i try to eat a part of a granola bar or a small protein shake after the gym to jump-start my appetite, if i don't, it's very likely i will not feel hungry and not eat for a lengthy amount of time after the gym, which isn't good for you.

I say buy your fresh foods and avoid much saturated fat intake. You can't lose weight if you don't eat healthy food portions. Your metabolism slows down if you starve yourself. I learned this from my Nutrition & DietTherapy college credit class.

I suggest you drink lots and lots of water, this will help you keep hydrated and eat less.
