I didn't know it could be used for fibromyalgia. I've had chiropractic treatments for some severe headaches that I used to have.

I don't know that it will help either, but I'm willing to try. If it works, great, if not, I'll dig and search deeper for alternatives to medicine. I can't take anti-depressants, muscle relaxers or seizure meds (I don't tolerate any of them very well), and tired of being a guinea pig. So I was hoping to see if anyone had tried this, and if so, if it helped.

I go next week, so I guess I'll find out.

When it comes to fybro, it seems we are willing to try most anything to ease the pain. I havent tried chiropratic treatment, however i did try physical therapy and it caused me so much pain i couldnt take it. After that i tried sterroid shots in my spine, helped but didnt last, either the lyrica or cymbalta they gave me for it made me so suicidal i had to go off it. Since i was taking both, we werent sure which caused it cuz i took them both at the same time. I say try it. I hope it works for you. Maybe it can give hope to the rest of us suffering from it!

I just got back from my second appointment. The first appointment was having x rays done, this was looking at the x rays and first adjustment. My spine is a total wreck. I have compressed discs causing curvatures both in my neck and lower back, bone spurs all the way down my spine. He's starting the adjustments slowly to see how I respond to treatment and go from there.

Does your chiropractor do acupuncture as well? That was recommended for my Fibro. I have been doing well on Lyrica. You seem to have much more physical issues.

Not sure whether he does acupuncture, but I don't think I'd do it. They say it doesn't hurt, but I do not like needles. LOL

I sustained injuries to my back in the past (some are from abuse), but did not know it is as bad as what it is. At least I got to see the x rays, and saw for myself what is going on with my back.

Whether it helps with the Fibromyalgia or not, at least I found yet another piece of the puzzle and am finding out what causes some of the things I've experienced. Even if it doesn't help the Fibromyalgia, if it lessens my Migraine attacks without meds, I'm for it.

Chiropractic treatments are about the only real thing that help me...(bad back)
No more medicines and pills and zombiness wanted...
No one is gonna cut me and pins and nuts and bolts me unless a last resort either...
Acupuncture did seem to help me for a while - but it's that needle thing with me too...
My chiropractor knows how and what it takes to put me together for a little bit...
Just wish it would last longer than it does...

Thank you for posting. Your opinions are much like mine. I tell everyone I can about the evils of medicine- I want as little to do with meds as possible.
I watched my Mom die of non alcoholic cirrhosis- caused by medicine- and until someone sees a loved one in such pain that they scream your name and scream "Help me!" all night long, every night, while you stand there helplessly, they can't understand. It's something you never get over.

But it makes you want to warn everyone. After all, we don't know what they are putting in all of those medicines. The one I do know is bad enough. The one I am talking about is Premarin (woman's estrogen supplement) and is made from pregnant mare urine- that's where the name comes from. When the mare foals, they take the foal away (it never even gets to nurse for the colostrum it needs) and re breed the mare, to keep the estrogen flowing. They also only give the horses just enough water to survive and no more, because too much water thins the estrogen level in the urine down. Bad stuff (look up Premarin horses- or Premarin rescue horses).

I've also had enough in the way of surgeries to last a lifetime. I'd never consent to having back surgery. It either works, or makes the conditions much, much worse.

Updating- My Migraine attacks intensified under chiropractic care. They were unbearable. The past couple of weeks, I've not had the $$$ to go, and the intensity of my attacks has eased. There's only one conclusion I can draw from that.

I have Ms and fibramyaliga.excuse my spelling. I read that you cant take the meds like lyrical gabapentin. I'm on gabapentin plus narcotic pain meds that I'm against cause I was a firefighter and seen what those meds can do if you don't follow the directions. They help thoe. But I want to get off of them. I read Akita about changing your diet plus talking to others that done it also. You just cant stop and start this type of diet. You need to stop eating fried foods fastfood and the processed foods with all the preservatives. So I started to eat fruit for either breakfast or lunch then a homemade dinner from scratch. I love pasta. Its a bigg no no. But after a few months I did feel a change. More energy less tired and even inflammation. Hot baths work on my bad days but a no no for the Ms. Life has become so difficult since I became diag with both diseases. I went to a all natural food and spice place. Like a mom and pop type of store not a supermarket. I told the lady my issues. She gave me black licorice stick. When the pain increases you munch on this stick looking thing and has worked. I'm just fed up that there's no cure or atleast something close to it just to take the pain away and the butt kicking fatigue. Seriously Ebola broke out and the govt doesn't want it here but all of a sudden there's this medicine that can cure you but granite its brand new and never tested. Its just the fact when the govt cares they do something about it. And being a firefighter I seen the political threats and backdoor hand schakes. Have you tried a good pain mgt group for help or a nutrionist? Sorry about spelling and grammar my Ms has done a lot to me attack after attack.

Gabapentin (Neurontin) is very dangerous. It is a seizure med. I can't take Lyrica, or any other form of anti depressant. My system does not tolerate them. I also do not like meds after watching my Mom die of liver failure- caused by medicines, and Tylenol is top of the list of dangerous meds to your liver.

As far as Fibromyalgia- Fruits, veggies and water are the right track- some meats are OK. I've read that balancing your diet- equal portions of acidic and alkaline foods helps. Muscle pain can come from muscles becoming too acidic. Veggies and fruits are alkaline.

Your so right about the diet and I can feel the difference. I went to a out pt rehab for PTthree times a week for my Ms. It was very basic and easy. From riding a bike all kinds of balancing pratices arm excerises and other things. After a few weeks I noticed I wasn't as stiff and in less pain cause I was lightly excerising. It got everything moving just enoughto keep the pain down and away. The best place to do any excerise is in a pool. Call your ins company and look into it. Due to my Ms progressing I had to stop going and that's where allthe narcotic pain meds started. I don't want them anymore. I'm allowed 5pills of this one pain med I have myself to no more then 3 on a bad day but I wont tell the Dr that just incase I cant handle the pain atleast I havethe 5pills. Look into the PT. Lets keep intouch and sharecoping skills and if we learn anything new lets pass on the info. Did you get a chance tgt a all natural spice and food store yet?

If your fibro is in one general location
A Neuro stimulator may help

As for migraines

I have a Neuro stimulator under the base of my skull to help the massive headache from nerve damage due to head trauma.
Maybe Google Medtronic Neuro stimulator

Sort of
The battery and computer are implanted in my lower back,
The wire runs up my spine to under the back of my skull.
It's like a tens unit x 10,000
It really does help some.

I have chronic daily pain. I'm on so much pain meds that pain management told me about the simulator but since it would be inplanted I wouldn't be able to get mri which I do need to get a lot cause of the module inside me. Just ask a lot of questions about it before going forward. I do think that there are modules that are used outside of The body. Good luck.

My neuro stim was the first kind to be mri safe

Matter of fact, I was the first person in the country to have it after approval in 2013

There is a magazine article and a video about it and me on the university of Iowa hospitals and clinics website.

KeywordsTo look at it on that site would be

Medtronic. Mickey troxel.

Neurosurgical.Dr.reddy. Dr.alahi

The article was
Easing the pain

I think

I have pain in every single joints in my body. Does your stimuli control the entire body or is it like the others where it can only do parts of the body and then have a second one put in to control the pain in the other parts of the body? I'm def going to look at the article about you. Today and last night has been so rough that I had to take so much medicine and now I'm do darn tired and sorts doped up but I cant function. I just want to be pain free and be ina normal state of mind. I'm glad its working for you.

Since it's in my spine under my skull
It does my whole body depending on how I have the power and pulse set.

If I lay flat,I can adjust it so it's like an entire deep body massage from the inside out, from head to toe.

It wasn't really designed for headaches, but it sure helps

I don't know if it's right for you,but it might be worth looking into
