Take only justified complains supported by evidences and made to the DH customer service.

People who complain for no real reasons, after three complains will be deleted because they are uncapable of be tolerant and get along with others.

This way all the flagging terroristic group of psychos will stop forcing people to come back over and over with new profiles (because flagged for no reasons).

People are being childish & abusing the flag option.

You should using your blocking feature more and flagging less.

I agree with the OP.

It's time for DH to eliminate the flagging to deletion feature.

Only qualified mods should have the right to delete a profile based upon only on LEGITIMATE complaints from DH users. Any unfounded complaints would lead to the abusive complainers getting deleted!

It's time for a change. Make it happen!

And I speak from experience, because Johnnyfee and Naturesbounty keep flagging me to deletion. They harrass, bully, stalk, and threaten me. I report them to CS but CS does nothing to them.

It's totally not fair!

Yes, I think it should be done away with, because the way its set up anyone can flag anyone without a valid reason and its being used to play games with these flag wars and such.

POF had a thing I didn't like either, but I don't know if its still being used, if you made a thread and a certain number of the first ten responders didn't want that question posted ..it disappeared.

All either one of these features do is open up room for B.S. political play with groups or people pinned against each other or other related B.S.

But this is only one of the things around here that should be done to improve the forums.

But lets do one more thing, have the site reveal on the forum, who has been doing all the recent flaggings....as in the last year or so.

One other thing....if you really want this to be.

the best thing to do is gather the largest participating flock you can get for this change thru emails and a gathering.

Then all or a main representative group meet on an instant messaqe get together, discuss and agree with what you want from the site and why...etc.

Then someone right a master letter, that each get a copy of....then each sign it with their sitename...

Then at a specific exact time...all send their signed copy into CS at the same time...literally flooding them with this demand or request.

that can work pretty good.

I would go with a change. Flags should JUST be flags, in other words, if you flag something, all that happens is that a moderator has to check it. If the moderator finds that you flagged for nothing, or for your own petulance sake, they can take away your flagging privileges.

No auto-deletions, just because a small batch of snotty people decide to play out their prejudices.

POF has pretty well destroyed their forums now, but I agree that they also showed that it's a tricky business to try to make forum users police themselves automatically. When someone has clearly created a fake profile in order to flame people and rant, it should only take ONE note to a mod to get it removed, not a boatload of votes. And on the other end of things, no matter how many people "vote" to delete someone just because they are unpopular but NOT abusive, they should be able to remain.

I've never had a problem. I'm suprised so many have.

Usually those that are deleted, are deleted for a reason. The deleted member will act like a victim, only to return and engage in the same offensive behavior.

I like the idea that a "flag" results in an automatic block. Really, it's the same difference to the one trying to police the forum. Out of sight, out of mind.

Flagging is a necessary feature of almost all online forums. There is no reason to get rid of it. Though, when a person is deleted, it would be nice if they were told why.

The flag button should also be a block button so that if you flag someone you should never be allowed to see their posts again OR B*TCH AND WHINE ABOUT THEIR POSTS............

And the number of times you flag a day should be limited. Also the number of times you flag a particular profile should be monitored to prevent stalking.

So your saying that we should just let the scammers and fake profiles be by just blocking them. That doesn't seem right I've been getting messages from girls wanting me to wwebcam with he naked see their naked pics. And their profiles are incomplete and I've flagged a few. They should get a message that they've been flagged and a link to refute it. But should not be able to make a new profile. I understand that there has been some improper flaggings. I guess I'll use the block button since they can make a new profile and continue messaging me. I due agree the flag button should be a report button and mod should be the one who chooses what to dowwith the person and if banned should not be able to make new profile there are too many fake and scamming profiles with in this last year it's no fun. And there are a lot of posts trying to get the mods to do something about it and they seem content with the way the site is according to the mod posts on these suggestions. This site needs some serious changes if it doesn't want to lose legit people. Wonder how many people have closed their accounts all ready.

Is this another bully call to arms? The flag feature is to alert CS to review a suspect post not for you noodle heads to try to control the other members of this site by flagging them into obscurity.

Stop acting like a middle-schooler and ignore without blocking those posts you don't like.

It is tough I got chewed for encouraging flagging of a foreign person who was advertising on ever US state and group on DH. He was going down the list posting advertising in every one and all I did was follow him and ask people block him for improper advertising.

You only need to flag any one member one time for CS to be alerted. Not nine zillion flags, please.

When a member is speed flagging another member for a site violation they need to check and see who they are actually flagging ...

Not to mention the "bully" method of asking others to gang-flag another member.

What happened is that Alby was going through the threads and flagging another member who was advertising.
The problem with that is that I was posting after the site rules violator.

When Alby came along, he was posting behind me and telling everyone I was a man and that everyone should flag me.

What I want to say is this: slow down "heroes" and read what is posted before you post and stop begging other members to gangbang another member.

This kind of bullying has got to cease. imho

As with this thread topic ..... How does a member know who another member is who may be flagging? Only CS is privy to that info.

just to clarify -- I wasn't flagging the advertiser, I was posting after the advertiser.
