Ok someone explain to me why some people will send messages for a few days then completely fall off the map, like they never really spoke to you in the first place. Seriously why even bother to send a message to someone if you just plan on disappearing after a day or so, that makes no sense. I would rather you would not even message me if you are going to forget about me a day or two later. I have enough abandonment issues and when guys do that to me it's like taking those issues and running them through a cheese crater. Ugh that makes me so mad I could breathe fire.

To begin, there are plenty of scammers on all sites. Not everyone really wants a true relationship. This effort works best if you will try to have contacts with people closer to your location. Jefferson County is large and very diverse. Use the Search button to find men and women in your area, try to hold a meet and greet. Excellent way to see how people will act in public before you decide you are in-like. Don't give up.

Scamming aside, people sometimes run out of things to say. Or after a few exchanges, you see that the other person is not a match at all. Not repulsive; just not compatible. You had to message back and forth to discover this, so what do you do next?

I understand that and most of the ones I talk to are ones who live close by but they still disappear after a day of talking to them, that is not enough time to judge if someone is right for you. I have even had a guy to just quit messaging me by the afternoon, whats up with that as for a meet and greet I don't drive and that hinders a lot of relationships for me but anyone willing to look for and want a relationship should be willing to drive a short distance to meet someone if they really want a relationship. I just don't get guys sometimes, Lol. Anyways thanks for replying both of you.

When that happens, it's plenty time to judge who is NOT right for you. No company is better than bad company.

Your probably being targeted
By scammers.
The create a fake profile near you then target you. When
They feel your your not going
Fall for the scam they stop and move on.

I have had the same thing happen so you're not alone. I have been the target (ill chosen on their part) of scammers, not just this site but others. I have also had someone tell me that my holding a dog and having short hair would lead to my being single the rest of my life. It seems that the ones that do either one...being mean or a scammer...are very plentiful on dating sites. I agree that having no company is better than the wrong ones.
Just be aware that there are scammers of both men and women. If they ask for money no matter what the money is for RUN THE OTHER WAY, IT IS A SCAM . The Military does not let girlfriends, fiancees or "wives" request leaves nor do they charge an application fee or a flight fee that must be paid so that "your love" can come see you. I have heard alot...have any questions please feel free to contact me.

"I have also had someone tell me that my holding a dog and having short hair would lead to my being single the rest of my life."
Perfect example of random, gratuitous, ANONYMOUS insult from a total stranger. There is no cause or purpose, but it is common. Er, wait. The cause is social/mental defects, and the purpose is to warn you and every other reader that this reptile is poisonous. It is not personal; reptiles are not persons.
