 Wow, that is a long time. Glad you won. It took my brother 1 lawyer and 2 years, even after the Social Security Doctor said he should be on Disability. I was so thankful that I got mine after 4 months. I don't understand why it takes so long for some people to get there's. Still usually not enough to live on, but better than nothing when we can not work.
Anyway Congratulations on your win.

thanks my first lawyer didnt turn in none of my evidence finaaly found the last lawyer who was awesome told me which drs to see what tests i needed and would call the boeard every month when i was sitting there to see what was going on he was a good lawyer he has won 9 out of 10 cases

I only know of one person that received it on the first try. She had everything together just perfectly she said. I have not tried though I need to for the insurance if nothing else.
I am glad you finally found a decent lawyer to help you with this process!

I don't understand why it takes so long for some people to get there's.
Age is a big factor. The younger the person, the longer the wait, especially if one is under 50...

They kept turning me down.
But I was in my 30's & my last Doctor was the one who really pushed it through.

I received it on the first try. I cried. I guess because I had heard how hard it was to get disability or that I might need a lawyer, I expected, or hoped, they were gonna say I was fine and get my a** back to work. My situation was kinda unique because I was a corrections officer and when i first started having problems, they tried to let me go. I fought them for the right to continue my position with slight modifications. I won under the ADA and worked another 5 years. By that time I knew I couldnt do it anymore. I think that really helped my case.
To anyone trying, gather everything you have, medical records, employment, etc. even tho they make you go to their own people, the more you have the better your chances.
Its kinda bittersweet when you qualify, congrats to all that have.

i was working got sick the dr took me off with no return date then my employer let me go after yr i was a manager it was hard to stop but i knew i couldnt do it any more i am so so glad the fight is done i wish anyone still trying the best of luck!!
