This feels hopeless. I'm only 35 but it seems most men are either way older than me or don't like the fact that I am a widow and have three kids. Or they are way too young for me. I'm not looking for someone to take care of my kids and I. I do that pretty well alone. Just sick of the rude jerks that think being a widow means desperate or something. I was just wondering if anyone else has had similar issues.

I lost my first wife when I was 18 so I think I know what what you are going through. I chlost my last at the age of 60 now I get e-mails from from 19 and 40 years old. The fist thing that you read is do you own a house and how much do i make. So there are the same on both sides of the coin.

I am a widow. I own my own house, have a small business and take care of all financial responsibilities for my family. I am looking for someone to take care of me and my children ... Healthy children require good role models from a woman and a man that care about them and each other. Dated a wonderful man for the last 16 months. He was a good friend and lover but just could not make the transition to a parent figure to my children. No supporting comments to children who still need guidance....he liked to change the subject if it wasn't positive or disciplinary in nature. Not good role modeling. We ended our relationship painlessly....just in a different place in our lives. Hang in there!

I understand how you feel. I'm 37 and widowed this year. First thing I get asked is why am I widowed so young. I come on here ( widow groups) and everyone had this wonderful long happy marriage. Men my age or older have grown kids lol or no kids at all!

Sorry you are being putt through that don't let them get you down and as far as the men being jerks not all are like that there are some good guys left in this world I'm 43 I lost my wife in june last year and I would give back everything I have to be with her again we have three great kids that have grown into upstanding adults I am proud of all three when I met my wife she was raising them alone I helped her for 9 years I'm sure you don't think all men are a pain but we are out here

Hello sandsable here I have been a widow for 11 years now and the men I run into are lazy or don't want to work or still living with mom.I rather have no one before I take care of a grown man.

Being a young widow is tough. Especially when you see couples who have been married for a long time. I was married for almost 24 years, and became a widow at age 43. We were starting to prepare a big bash for our 25th anniversary.
Nonetheless, I know I have to keep living for me and my two grown sons.
Hang in there. When you least expect it, the right one will come along.

I was married at the age of 29 and a widow at age 35. I lost my wonderful husband to cancer after 6 years of marriage. I am 43 now and it is still hard to deal with at times. I still think of him and I still love him and miss him dearly. but I am also ready to find someone that will treat me with respect. I know that I am not going to find anyone like him but I do know that there are men out there that I could enjoy a great life with it is just a matter of finding that man.

And men don't want kids at home at our age. They run like crazy when I tell them. Wished I could say my husband was the last for me but I lone for companion. I like to be held. Someone to talk to Dailey. I don't like to be along. I know I have my daughter, but that's not the same.

This story might be believable if you didn't become a member in October of 2014....6 months before your husband died.
I would suggest if you are going to continue with this foolery to delete your profile and start over....otherwise you look like a scammer with the 'widow' story.

I guess im the youngest of all 
(25Yrs old me&her )this year is been the darkest and sadness times of my life. The love of my my life, my very first love, the one i promise to only married and spend my life with till getting old and die. It vanished.. Everything has turnout dark ,painful,lonely hopeless..
We were so in love...(because I'll always love her)
Only 5 years we. Got to experience the word "happiness" that kind of happiness that comes to your life and it feels it will never go away, the type of happiness y o u forget about everything that surrounds you dont matter. Nothing can stop you. Nothing is stronger than your self. You feel bigger and unbeatable when she/he is next to you.
After getting married we conceive a baby girl we love with all our heart. My baby! Unfortunately she wont have the opportunity to know her mother.(its so painful) on top of that the side of my wife family. Took my baby from me beign only 1 month old and not letting me be with her after loosing her mother she is not with her father) how sad. I also wished i was there on her funeral to say good bye. ;( there are people in this world that are not humans.
