Pennsylvania voters will fill three vacancies on the *Pennsylvania Supreme Court
* on November 3: two vacancies created by retirements, and one vacancy created by an incumbent's primary loss. This is the most competitive supreme court race the commonwealth has seen since 2009 when Joan Orie Melvin
(R) was elected to the high court.[1]
Court elections in 2011 and 2013 were uncontested retention elections
for incumbent justices. With three of seven seats on the ballot in 2015, the outcome of this historic election could not only change the partisan makeup of the court, but it could also impact future decisions.
http://ballotpedia.org/Pennsylvania_Supreme_Court_elections,_2015
The top three candidates from each party based on vote totals from the primary will be on the general election ballot, along with independent candidate *Paul P. Panepinto
*, a longtime Philadelphia Common Pleas Court judge, who was nominated by petition.[2]
Democrats *Christine Donohue
*, *Kevin M. Dougherty
* and *David N. Wecht
*, and Republicans *Anne Covey
*,*Michael A. George
* and *Judith F. Olson
* will appear on the general election ballot, with Panepinto. On November 3, 2015, voters will determine which three of these seven candidates will become thePennsylvania Supreme Court
's newest justices.[3]

He was involved with Americans For Prosperity!! I really liked him for his

Sorry, silly.
HB1649
Can you believe 20 teachers in Phila have been absent from the classroom 15 and 20 or 30 years working full time for union instead, but have collected teacher pay and benefits all this time????
This House Bill will cut that fat out!
Thank You, Republicans! Philly gets more than 50% state funding for their schools and God knows they're always begging for more, while they haven't even collected back property taxes on abandoned buildings etc..
What a disgrace.
Can you imagine the tax dollars who paid those "ghost teachers".. a lot of money plus benefits, pension, etc.

Under the plan,
a bipartisan commission of lawyers and lay people chosen by the governor and legislative leaders would convene to build a short list of candidates for appointment to each of the three appellate courts.
The governor would make nominations to seats on the bench from that list.
****
Proposing voters not decide judges anymore.. but will be "appointed" instead.

So Kenney Won Phila MAYOR.
And the numbers are showing Dems ahead for Courts.
***
Lawyers gave more than $2.1 million to the three Democratic candidates, with two receiving more than half their contributions from January to mid-September from attorneys, law firms and political committees aligned with the legal industry. Labor unions also gave heavily to the Democrats, handing out more than $1.7 million.
The three Republican candidates meanwhile collected significant shares of their campaign spending money from a more diverse group of sources including other Republican campaigns and political action committees, the medical profession and the insurance and financial industries. The legal profession was still a significant contributor to each of the Republicans, donating nearly $150,000.

That's because, obviously, republican conservatives aren't tuned in to what's sneaking up on them. I don't understand with motor voter how difficult it could be for them to simply go to a local poll place, stick the card in a machine and vote their party..it takes a whole few minutes but the action can make or break the direction of our entire nation.
It's utterly disgusting.
Took some time to google the Phila Sheriff race, the one who won, versus his competition. Apparently, Phila preferred a scandal ridden man over the one without who also is totally anti-blight driven. Go figure.

Nonprofits, which the state relies upon heavily to provide services such as day care and meals on wheels, are under strain as funding is delayed. Some school districts have had to borrow money or cut benefits to teachers. And beyond the budget woes, David Thornburgh, president and chief executive of the nonprofit Philadelphia watchdog group, the Committee of Seventy, argues that the economy in Pennsylvania has been weighed down by corruption. It's no coincidence, he thinks, that among the nation's ten most populous cities, Philadelphia has the lowest median income and the highest poverty rate at more than 25 percent.

ok folks dear Gov. Wolf approved 77% of the budget that he vetoed completly in June.
That is correct. The very same budget that was vetoed in its entirety, he signed.
To me this makes zero sense! Instead the Govenor chose to hold schools, food banks
and other human services hostage while he played the blame game.
This budget issue is not completly settled. Tell Gov. Wolf that you are tired of
paying more in taxes!

At some point, people have to wonder… how does the governor consider a $30.3 billion budget that increases education funding by more than $400 million without relying on a sales or income tax increase ‘garbage,’ but continues to back a broken $30.8 billion framework budget that increases sales or income taxes without pension reform, property tax relief or real steps to bring our liquor system into the 21st century?

Most of Pennsylvania's 71 Republican delegates are technically uncommitted. This year, party rules changed to require 14 “at large” delegates selected by party leaders to vote for the winner of the state's primary, but only on the first ballot at the national convention. Three “automatic” delegates — state GOP Chairman Bob Gleason, National Committeeman Bob Asher and National Committeewoman Christine Toretti — are legally bound to vote for the winner on the first ballot only. The remaining 54 delegates, elected by Republican primary voters in each of Pennsylvania's 18 congressional districts — three per district — are uncommitted.

A broken machine is just that BROKEN! Pretending it isn't is a foolish man wish on a foolish journey...
And to add stating I don't vote on nothing more then you opinion, is just that an opinion and not a fact. Seem to me you are leading more of Logical Fallacy:
The term "logical fallacy" refers to the concept of making an error in terms of reasoning. It is crucial to understand logical fallacies so that they can be identified and avoided when attempting to persuade.
