And any other helpfull hints and tips.
Every time I buy Gorilla Glue I only get to use it once or twice before it dries in the bottle.
I have read pointers that say to put a small square of saran wrap ir cellophane over the tip before screwing the cap on, but my problem revolves around how to reconstitute the glue inside the bottle after it has already set up.
How do I do this?
How can I achieve my goal?

Solution....
Store it in a large zippy bag and squeeze out the air.
Other option.... punch a new hole in the bottle everytime you need to use it... 
Ot: anyone know a source to purchase spreadable wood filler for new floor finishing?

Tried that. The whole bottle dries, every time.
Average shelf life is listed at one year but all accounts say four months is it.
Do you mean underlayment or a dob? Elmer's wood glue is good for most things if you finish over it.
As far as underlayment to even out the whole floor you're gonna get a dry mix.
I almost bought nine pallets of underlayment grout and adhesive and skimming agent once for $7.00 a pallet but some p*ssy didn't offer rear echelon support so it was a theoretical junket.
So anyway how many square are you covering houston?

600 sq.ft. red oak. Sanding sooN and need the filler to fill imperfections. It is a glue down floor 3/4" thick solid tongue and groove. O actually located a place that only sells it to contractors however I was able to talk him in to a cash sale for $20.00 a gallon.

Should be fine. That's pretty damned cheap, btw.
What I was offered sold for $30+ a 4lb. bag.
Check for adhesion compatability between the active and inactive ingredients online.
Maybe a compatible skim layer between and consider permeability.
Easy peezy.

2.25" width in random lengths. The compound is premixed with red oak sawdust so finishing compatability is a cinch.

No. Red oak has variance like any wood.
Match it first if you have cure time.
If you're not sure don't use it.
If anything looks odd with the match with grain see about long duration/lifetime dyes to add that won't diffuse the compound.
Of course structure is the most important factor to consider, as it's a floor and carpets, rug and furnishings may enhance certain factors. However level will not be one of those factors...will it +.?
After you have the floor laid and begin to spread the underlayment, go rent a laser level.
Sort of like a transit.
Make sure to check with a reliable and consistent measure, i.e. the exact point of light and the exact point of delineation on your stick .
When it is perfectly and ready to be coated with the adherent, go downstairs with a long two by four or long stick and put upward pressure on the floor joists. If they move, go back upstairs and rip it all back out then go back downstairs and secure the joists.
Start over.
Do they make an R-value flooring adhesive/underlayment? To keep it cooler inside?
Anyway, match it up first and be ready to use dyes , and try not to have to explain the hump under the throw rug.

Fortunately it's not that convoluted. Concrete Pad foundation. Flatened floor with 6' aluminum screed and filling with self leveling cement with 1/8" tolerance. Applied moisture resistant mastik and laid the floor. Now to sand, trowel fill with spreadable filler, finish sanding and polyurethane finish of 3 coats. Viola!!! Done

I have a couple bottles of Elmer's Carpenters Glue that dried up near the top and are worthless. That stuff DOES dry as hard as wood. Used it for several projects including both forms for the raised bed gardens.

When i pulled flat bed I used gorilla glue to repair my tarps. I put a few drops of antifreeze in my bottle in the winter. 3 n 1 machine oil works too
